[Silent Alarm]

I always get the impression that the people who get up on shoulders at a festivals (perhaps less so at standalone concerts) are saying "OMG this is the one song I've heard on the radio by this band!!!11~" with their actions. I find it hard to abide.

It's usually stupid chicks on the shoulders of blokes who reckon they're in. Bindi bandaging, flower-headbanded chicks with a $10 Smirnoff Ice woo-ing like a Wollongong surfy circa 1989. Probably as lame and faux-Woodstock as lighters and swaying hands. Jesus.

Should mention that I usually love a pogo and sing along at a show but those things just remind me of seeing Bon Iver or Coldplay. Aka the worst things ever.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet but:
Keep your shirt on please dickheads. You won't be any less hot and you won't be any more likely to pull a root because of it, no matter how much you've 'shredded' for the festival/show/event.
