It is always interesting how different people can read the same press releases or documents and interpret them differently. In the information posted on the AFL GM site (as per this link http://www.aflgoulburnmurray.com.au/commission-releases-junior-review-final-report/ ) it states the draft report was released in Nov 7 for feedback and it is from that feedback that the amendments etc were made.
eg "In all, 22 written submissions were received for consideration of the Steering Committee.”
......“When considering the submissions received during the feedback window and the feedback from the Steering Committee the Commission formally adopted 21 of the 27 recommendations with immediate effect.”
“Recommendation 9 has been amended to cater for differences within each League running junior competitions and Recommendations 12 and 13 regarding limiting squad numbers were dismissed as a result of feedback and will be replaced by a Player Sharing Policy which a subcommittee will prepare for adoption by all Leagues.”
I also took from reading that the reason the changes to GVFL and KDL ages was to do with the sustainability of the junior leagues as didn't see anything mentioned about the fact PDFNL was only resigned for 12 months but think it is pertinent that you have made people aware that you were seeking a 3 year agreement and although that was initially agreed to that was later denied.
- IIRC the initial documentation on the review being undertaken stated the findings would be released by end of 2017 ( October ?? ), likewise further correspondence stated similar time frame for final release.
- Feedback on area agreements all seemingly ignored, it would also appear as though some of the feedback is a counter argument to others confidential feedback?
Do not support allowing up to 6 permit players
Do not support player can play 2 games per weekend
Support
Will Area Agreements be the same in all Leagues?
Do not support permits when home club is not fixtured to play
Do not support players permitted to play 2 games per weekend
Do not support players permitted to play with multiple clubs in one competition
Do not support amount of permitted players to be equal to or greater than 25% of the minimum amount of players required to constitute a match. No greater than 3 per side in any one match
Do not support players being able to play 5 or more permits per year
- Point 15 and 16 clearly mentions the PDFNL being affiliated for 2019 ( why ??? )
- Do you really think that anyone involved in the PDFNL would not be concerned about how the " sub committee" members were selected, what knowledge or ability to consider the interests of the PDFNL they have and even furthermore than intent of one member . Let's hope all detail is checked and based on fact, 54 seems to be able to go to 27 very quickly.
