Fair point but don't think being in a losing side should preclude someone from being awarded the 3 votes

i watched the live stream for a while and noticed in the reserves grade Rennie v Yarroweyah rd 16 rennie won 183-0 yet the 3 and 1 votes went to yarroweyah. Club umpires have a tough job.

I agree but if you're losing comfortably you can't be impacting the game so much to be considered the best player on the ground I'd hope
