I have a number of family photos that I want to shrink down and then make them all into one picture. At the moment they are all seperate files which are quite large. Any tips on programs that can help me?

Adobe Photoshop is a great program.

I Adobe Photoshop 6.0 for Media Studies at school, and it is a godsend for digital photo's! :D

The Hitman

Paint Shop Pro will do the job, and it's a lot cheaper. Not as powerful IMHO but it's a close second.

They are both pretty complex though... if all you want is a program to thumbnail your photo collection.. I think there's some much cheaper alternatives you can download.. try searching at download.com

I use a little program called Paint Shop Pro 7 which you can download from tucows.com.

It is a very easy to use program and also comes with an extra program named Animation Shop 3.

I sell Photoshop in my shop (i think its up to V.10 now or is that illustrator ...I can;t keep up with them )for $549.
That's Adobe educational pricing so you have to have some kinda dubious connection with academia.

Hawkfan...Is that Paintbox pro what you use to cut down pictures to 50 pixils to use as an avatar? Does it edit animated ones too?

i'm using adobe photoshop v.6....
didnt really ahem... pay for it tho... ahem..

u can just do a search for photoshop v.4, which is the first one i learnt to use... its fine for most graphic editing tools and functions... quite easy to find online...

but then again, for simple functions like pic resizing, changing resolution... u can download something easier to use, like LviewPro, or ACDsee graphic viewers... u can save pics, choose compression levels, crop sizes etc... without the full blown graphics editing suite...

u can download shareware/trial versions at download.com...

um.. u can then, ahem... 'purchase' then with some cracks/serials i can send to ya...

I've used photoshop before when I used the tile generator to make a background for my webpage. It was only the trial however so it eventually ran out. Anyway, thanks for the offers but I will have to get back to you next week sometime as I'm heading off to leavers in about 4 hours.

WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :D  :p

So let me get this right. I can download the shareware version of Paint Shop Pro 7 and then "purchase" it by installing a crack for the program?

Where would I get the crack from as well?
