Another great win. Early days I know, but we're flying. Nine goalscorers this week. Only one chump, no mini-chumps.

For the second week in a row the two Most Popular Picks went goalless. The Pieman kiss of death!




The KELVIN

The story of the week has got to be lateniter (286). He put in his wish to re-join before the season started but forgot to put in a team last week so I generated one for him before the game started. It returned him a modest 40 points. Then he forgot AGAIN this week so his random team rolled over but with Bont coming in as a sub. The carryover team clicked. Lateniter had 200+ points and a chump well before half time. He could have put the cue in the rack right there because nobody else cracked 200. But he cruised on to an easy 122 point win over Shacf501 (164), another recipient of a Bont substitution. ossie_21 (131) was another 33 points back.

Congrats to debutant Viva_Loca (84) who gets the gatorade spray after cracking his duck this week.




The PIEMAN

Last week's winner Charlie Bucket retains the lead by 28 pts. He had a 3x on Libba and when Libba's shot sailed through from 50m out Charlie B picked up a handy 114 pts. Lateniter's heroics today weren't quite enough to take the lead but they have him firmly in second spot ahead of an unlikely RandomDog who is the only other to top 300 points. Predictions of his demise are a little premature. A bit like Geelong. It doesn't say much for the other 40 contestants if his randomly generated teams have him in third!

celebrated his 50th game with 2 goals (and denied a third by the video review) enough to win him the PPotW with 70 pts. Davidson's two goals got him 52 points for runner-up.




Pieman Player of the Year

Bont's spate of early season goals has him leading the PPotY, a most unfamiliar place to find himself.

If you had picked the top 5 (below) in both rounds - that is, all the B's (except Busslinger) plus Davidson - you'd have 380 points as well as 37 pts in mini-chumps for a total of 417 pts and a 63 pt lead in the Pieman.

It's like lotto or the quaddie - it looks easy in retrospect doesn't it?



Anyway, onward and upward. The Crows next week will be another huge challenge. They look imposing.

That was a data entry error - I use the player's numbers as a data entry shorthand and this week there were lots of 4s, 14s and 44s!

My apologies. It has been fixed in both the Kelvin and Pieman tables.

Sadly for you, there's no error in this case Fossie.

Your sub is the first player on the sub list who is not already in your team. As you already had Bont you can't get him again. (There are at least a couple of reasons for this). So next on the sub list was English.

Those who did get Bont as their sub didn't have him in their team already.

Your carryover team for next week would have been the one you had today i.e. Bont/Darcy/Naughton/English/Richards (no Croft). So do you want me to take English out and replace him with a second Bont?
