It's getting down toward the business end of the season. There are 8 rounds left and a lot of people have held back some bankers for their finishing run.
Who can win it? Well the top 10 are certainly all in with a shout. The next dozen or so could get lucky if they have some players that few others have got. Still plenty to play for.

And at the other end of the table there's pride to be played for.

PIEMAN RESULTS RD 16 v GEELONG

Five goals in the last quarter turned what looked like being a lean Pieman night into something reasonable. More importantly it gave us a huge boost with a win over flag favourites Geelong. There were only 5 different goalkickers so not everyone got a good slice of the action.

Makeshift key forward chimed in with 4 goals and Lloyd 3. Those two headed the PPotW list this week.

The KELVIN
After two goalless games hardly anyone was game to pick Naughton as banker especially against Geelong's stingy defence. The only one with the courage to do so was theAthenian and fortune favoured the brave with a comfortable Kelvin win. Plenty of 100+scores but the Athenian was the only one to top 200. This was the second time he had topped 200 and it was the highest score for any round this year.



The PIEMAN
Any one of our top 5 could have made huge ground against the opposition but none of them pulled the trigger on Naughton so it's pretty much as you were. However theAthenian has moved up from 9th to 6th and is very much in with a chance.

TempletonTheRat slightly increased his lead to 40 points over Curly5. Then it's 80 points to four others who are very tightly bunched.

The Rat is the best placed of the top six with regard to bankers in hand. But spare a thought for Brassrazoo who seems to have gone missing. Hasn't used a banker but is still in 10th spot. Could have been right up there with a few well chosen bankers.
