PIEMAN RESULTS RD 17 - Les Bulldogues discombobulent les Dees
Great fight shown on Fightback Day. I'm sure PG's heart will be bursting with pride tonight. All our hearts should be. Despite our best efforts we still managed to kick our regulation 10 goals, just as we had done the previous three weeks.
Pieman Player of the Week
It's academic because nobody has him in their Pieman team but the much maligned Roarke Smith kicked two set-shot goals this week and romped in with the PPotW. Dunkley's important contribution (also from set shots) gave him second place.
Pieman Player of the Year
Lloyd keeps kicking them while Naughton's come in fits and starts. Lloyd is closing the gap. Roarke is roaring into the frame.
The KELVIN
Nearly everybody missed out on Naughton's bag last week so guess where the bankers went this week? Nine of us got sucked in (yes, I was one of them) but we all came up empty.
It was grassman75 who rolled the dice with Schache and came up with his first Kelvin of 2019. But only narrowly - VitalDread who has shamefully failed to use his bankers was only four points adrift in second. The last quarter goal from BSmith got Doggies_13 and LordC home in equal third.
That was an important goal for Doggies_13 as we shall see.
The PIEMAN
These low scores every week are working in favour of the leaders. It's hard for anyone else to make any inroads. It's a game of attrition. Curly5 continues to chip away at TempletonTheRat 's lead, cutting it by another 17 points this week - it's now down to a mere 27. However the big mover was Doggies_13 who jumped to third overall and is now only 90 behind the Rat.
