PIEMAN RESULTS RD 19 vs Fremantle
It was a great return to form today, but soured by the Morris injury. At half time it looked like we'd have some monumental scores in the Pieman but we could only kick 4.11 in the second half.

Pieman Player of the Week
Once again Bailey Dale put some distance into them. Nice to see him kick his goals early rather than in junk time. He's definitely revived his flagging career. Smith and debutant West recorded good Pieman scores this week as well.

Pieman Player of the Year
Aaron Naughton's once-huge lead has vanished and he's only just hanging on to the season lead thanks to his miracle goal off the ground early in the third. Lloyd is not someone who's going to pass off readily when he thinks he's a chance himself, but I like that. It's what we need. He's so consistent too - he has kicked 10 goals in his last 4 games.

The KELVIN
No surprise but Snarls Barkley went bark-to-bark with his second Kelvin of the year. LordC snuck in for second to deny Boyd oh Boyd the runner-up position for the second week in a row.

The PIEMAN
Her reign at the top was brief. Curly5 did OK but the TempletonTheRat did better and is back in the lead with a 21 point break. However it's not just between those two. Doggies_13 and dish licker are both within 100 points while Bont2Boyd and theAthenian are not far behind. With four games to go - and maybe finals - they are all well within range. And of course if Bailey Dale keeps kicking bags you can't rule out Snarls Barkley who, along with ossie_21, is less than 250 behind the Rat. Even past Pieman winner StringyDog is a chance if Rhylee West keeps kicking goals. Stringy is less than 300 behind the leader and each West goal will be worth 120 points if he is also the banker.

What might be decisive is having bankers in hand. Five teams have 3 bankers left - The Rat, Curly5, Snarls, lachy and StringyDog. The rest have either 1 or 2 bankers left.

In the wooden spoon battle Boyd oh Boyd has launched himself of the bottom like Aaron Naughton going for a mark. He has jumped 6 places to 34th leaving Vinegar Mess in the cellar.
