If you want to nominate a banker for Round 8 do it here before match start time. It's a bit complicated with the Pieman trade period under way at the same time. I'm expecting some further trade action after teams are announced.

So I won't post the Pieman teams this week as they are in a state of flux. Anyway you should know by now who've you've traded and who you've got.

It's OK to change your banker choice up to match start time but it must be in a new post here, not an edit.

PIEMAN RESULTS RD 8 v GOLD COAST
The first match after the trade period didn't yield a lot of goals but it certainly had a different look. For the first time in 5 weeks Laitham Vandermeer didn't kick a goal (although I think he hit the post at one stage) so the Kelvin was a wide-open event.

One interesting piece of by-play just before the Gold Coast game was first and second placed players in the Pieman - Charlie Bucket and Wocka - trying to outfox each other. Each was waiting for the other to post their trades before the deadline. Eventually it was CB who lobbed his changes in at 7:36. Two minutes later (and two minutes before the deadline) Wocka's changes arrived. Well played, gents.

Pieman Player of the Week
With his first goal in footy Lachie Young is the PPotW.
Note that the PPotW and PPotY are based on pre-season handicaps, even after the trade period.

Pieman Player of the Year
Mitch Wallis is now our leading goalkicker but he's still a long way behind Vandermeer for PPotY.

The KELVIN
Bankers didn't have much of an impact this week. The only one to kick a goal was Wallis (for lachy ). So jaxie1 (96) landed the Kelvin with his newly traded-in player Lachie Young (55 pts). Floridog was second thanks largely to JJ's long goal from a scoring chain he started himself deep in the backline.

Three of us got sucked into making Gowers our banker, thinking we had an easy kill after the teams were announced. But this was not 2018. He managed to miss from about 3 metres out.

The PIEMAN

No real change at the top. The leading trio all scored 19. The only ones to make inroads were LordC and TempletonTheRat each with a 72 that pushed them up to 4th and 5th respectively ... but still about 500 off the lead.
