You also have to back them like parrot backs Carlton - With no basis in reality. You can't turn on your buddy mid-season if they're having a bad year.

If you are only a couple of picks away and you have a few players in mind it would be best to pm your picks to lonie or even post them here, unless you're paranoid about people trumping your pick for some reason.

For example I'm two picks away and have posted my preference and my 2nd preference if Hoggy chooses my pick.

As for people with school, which may effect their voting in their 12 hour period, you can do as P4L said, by sending me a request of your player(s) when close to your pick if that's what you want to do to ensure no risk. I work early hours of the day to noon (at the latest) so I will be online when you aren't, so safe with me.

Also, as to what happens with this, is pretty much what vinnie said. It is your duty to advertise your player on the board as you have the responsability. The majority is bragging rights I guess, but also to give you some involvement on the site other than reading posts.

Remember, everyone can have an avatar and signature (special people have bigger and longer respectvely), so the RULE is to have your selected player in your avatar and/or sig. If you need help, vinnie, FIGGY, myself or others can be at assistance.

Just a question I would like commented on...would it be good to have everybody start a thread on each player in our sub-forum and each week update it with their match stats (if played), good news, bad news, and maybe a rating. Also would be a great resource, and would be good for others to find out more about how a certain player is travelling. And, Timmy, if you want to stalk them, go right ahead!

I love that idea, I think it would be alot easier and more organised if we all had our own thread in the sub forum not in the main collingwood board.

i think the idea was to write a report on how your player went each week either bagging him or praising his efforts. eg who he played on,did he beat his opponent or get shelacked
