Clearance numbers not ideal, but bear in mind that’s Melbourne’s real strength. Round 2 against Geelong they went +10 and won the inside 50s 73-48 - and lost by 80 points.

To win by 7 goals and win all 4 quarters, everyone would’ve taken that at the start of the day.

There was a hint of last year in the last 7-9 minutes of the game. The boys are enjoying their footy and bounced back well from last week's loss. Hoss is building nicely Scodog10 and Sier put on display why we need the bear.

That trophy should have gone to Gawn IMO, Treloar got a lot of touches but didn't actually have a great game.
