I don’t use the exact words for every statistic in the book. I took advice to use paragraphs a couple of years ago to forge each division into their own category, and I always put the player statistics in brackets.

All good chief. As I say, you obviously put a lot of work into it and if you're happy with it that's all that matters.

Congratulations on the win.

Here are the midfield frequency stats from the game. If you haven't seen one of these posts before this is an overall summary of how often your players were lining up as one of the 5 mids at bounces.
Good, now I know who to ****ing blame!

The reason he was sort of uninterested was my fault really, I decided to eat there 2 and a half hours before the actual game just so I could get a car park lol.

If we would’ve just got to the ground half an hour before he probably would’ve been fine, but I’m a very regimented person haha.
Well done for using "uninterested" in this context and not "disinterested".

Sorry but your orig long post breaks nearly every rule esp for screen based writing - the reply saying it was unreadable had 9 (?) likes - yes you use some paras but they're way too large - what about the poster who said he got dizzy reading your orig long post - it's a fair bet most quickly skimmed your post

You are obviously only 14 or 15yo and have never worked a day in your life. There are a few reasons for this conclusion but mainly you are not open to critisism. Anyone who has ever worked understands the client/customer/consumer is always right.

You have obviously gone to a fair bit of trouble so 9 likes or whatever is pretty poor to be honest. You can probably get 10 likes with a one line big cox joke

Congratulations on the win.

Here are the midfield frequency stats from the game. If you haven't seen one of these posts before this is an overall summary of how often your players were lining up as one of the 5 mids at bounces.

de Goey 1

Grundy 14
Cox 1

Notes:
- Fewest players Collingwood has rotated through the midfield during one of the 9 analysed games this season. This also equals the fewest players utilised by any AFL club in analysed games this season (West Coast also only used 7 in Rd 9). In 4 other games you've only used 8 players. Whilst this is low by AFL standards (most rotate 10-11 per game, in some cases as many as 14-15), it works well for Collingwood and interestingly also West Coast, whilst Geelong are also moving more towards this strategy. Clarkson (and those who served their apprenticeship under him - Beveridge, Hardwick etc) favour rotating most of the forward half through the midfield group, so that is why the trend is towards clubs having more rotations. As most strategies are copied, a few more premierships from either Collingwood or West Coast and Geelong to a lesser extent, will likely swing things back to small midfield groups with more forward specialists.
- Most inside starts for Phillips in an analysed game and also his first inside start in analysed games since Rd 1 (when he had 3).
Great insights here. Thank you.

Interestingly, we used Flip in the Center square 7 times. Would prefer De GOEY, JT or Brown running through there.

I think the issue might be if we don’t play Phillips on the wing, where else to play him? He’s not a great forward. Essentially, when Mayne & Sidebottom are on the ground, he’s not needed/utilised correctly.

I wouldn’t even mind Mayne in the Center square because you know he’s got the grunt.

So if he's 14, he would've been 3 when he made the account?

Do you want people to read it?

If so, listen to what people are saying....it can't be that difficult

Swooper18 sorry mate this isn’t a shot at you, but they are right, those post are completely unreadable.

No one is trying to make you feel bad, in fact im sure 99% of the people appreciate he the effort.

I’d take the advice on board, because then those 99% who enjoy your effort, but can’t read it, will actually take the time to read it.

Its a win win, for both you and the reader

In terms of Cox, he and we are too obsessed with him launching from the front position. With his height and the umpires now allowing hands in the back, he'd have a field day from behind.
He was caught behind the contest quite a few times too, maybe still needs to develop judgement and timing when running forward to mark.

I’m pretty sure they penalised McDonald because they deemed it an unrealistic attempt. The Howe one was disgraceful though.
I actually agree with the Howe decision. Allowing climbing for the mark is good for the spectacle of high marking, but kicking someone in the back horizontally and then marking at normal chest mark height is not.

Jsut caught the replay and I don't think we were that good. Dees moved the ball through the middle of the ground fairly easily and if they had better skills, the game would have been a lot closer. The issues regarding clearances are becoming a huge concern now, not sure what the answer is.
What part of Adams - our best clearance mid - being out of the team don't you get. Not the entire answer but aside from his clearance numbers his absence affects team balance and especially midfield balance.

If holds his ground more in a marking contest , he will be unbeatable.
YOu can't jsut stand there waiting fo the ball in AFL, have to move, eg move back behind the ball drop and then forward as teh ball comes down, even allow a defender to push you to the ball drop - or could use sideways movement too.
