Hopefully he can put his friendship aside and not turn into a buckley back slapper

It was mentioned in one of the press releases about Allen taking over the football department that our recruiting dept would be bolstered.Maybe a full time development coach and some more draft scouts would be useful.
Name a club where at least one assistant coach is not a mate of the Senior Coach?Best man for the job or best mate for the job? Club has a long way to go to win back my confidence im afraid
You'd assume the first, given this is an appointment approved by Allen and not Balme.Best man for the job or best mate for the job? Club has a long way to go to win back my confidence im afraid
The real question is will Sando have an office next door to Bucks?
So, he will be the Senior Assistant to Bucks with Harvey taking over the back line?
There's a wide world out there alright but we sure have a lot of ex players and mates.Name a club where at least one assistant coach is not a mate of the Senior Coach?
There is a whole big world out there that do things the same way we do, this is not a new thing that only applies to Collingwood
Lock up yo wives and daughters!
Welcome Sando the Slayer!
I hear that Perts spot will be free on occasion now that Clokey is leaving. No, the real question is where will he park his car? In Balme's vacated spot?
And why would it matter? There's a wide world out there alright but we sure have a lot of ex players and mates.
Monkey and Wright are performing though. How did you rate our coaching this season and general on field organisation? And why would it matter?
s**t I've read posts almost daily with people pleading for us to get Monkey and Wright back to the Club
Yay, it only took 5 years for Bucks to get his man.
Sanderson was supposed to be part of the Buckley-Malthouse handover in 2012, but obviously got the Crows job instead.
Forward coach and ball movement, s**t we are obsessed with ball movement. I would have though a solid game plan, talented players buying into that game plan and natural development of play would take care of ball movement, but hey this ain't the AFL we used to know, everything is over analysed now, so why not.
A good appointment anyway, anyone with senior coaching experience should help Bucks and the other coaches at the club develop.
I thought there was room for improvement....and it turns out I was right, Grace and Hart gone and Sanderson in.Monkey and Wright are performing though. How did you rate our coaching this season and general on field organisation?
If you were going to make any coach the "ball movement" specialist I think in the modern game it would either be the defensive coach or the midfield coach, not the forward coach. Ball movement inside the forward zone isn't as important as getting it in the forward zone the right way I reckon. Because if you get it inside the forward area properly and accurately, the ball movement once forward almost takes care of itself. When you think about it isn't ball movement one important element (the offensive side) of game plan?
Don't worry, I am listening to you. They mentioned with Balme not taking up the role it leaves a vacancy in the director of coaching.
Also said if that role is filled they can spend $$ elsewhere, I suggested a ruck coach but no-one heard me.
Robert Harvey would coach the backs, Scott Burns the midfield and two other line coaches would be appointed
I reckon they will promote Tapping. From Monday's member forum, guess we can assume the other line coach will be a part time position?
