FWIW all that was needed was for you to put "IMO" in front of what you originally posted and no one would have really batted an eyelid

I also think he's the most vulnerable, however his management confirming recently that they hadn't received an offer from them is a good sign for us.

IMO.. Ball to stay 100%, Pendlebury to stay 100%. Cloke I'm not 100% convinced on but more then likely will stay. May see some creative contracting with Swanny finishing in 3 years as he announced

Didn't hear his announcement to see how he said it - but given he's rarely serious, should we take this seriously? Did he say it like he really meant it or as a throwaway.

Here is the link so you can have a read but sounds like he meant it to me and pretty sure hes already 28/29 so that would put him in that 30/31 bracket by time he retires.

Even in that article he just makes it out that he doesn't want to play until he's sacked, and that he's playing for the love of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if he kept playing because I think he'll still be a good player and the club will want him. I guess it comes down to how he's feeling about it. It's certainly not set in stone.

Nah read between the lines in Ball's article.He said that all the players were happy together and Collingwood is a very hard place to leave from.

Why would you want to leave the number 1 club in the league ?, with more premierships at stake unless you were a peripheral player that wasn't getting much game time cos all the positions are always filled.

Bally and all our top players will stay.The way we all talk is like our club is about to go broke ,Boys and Girls COLLINGWOOD is the biggest brand in the league and without us all the other teams will suffer.

Collingwood has the biggest supporter base,we arte the richest club ,best facilities,players play to the biggets crowds,all players get compebsated well.all players have a chance to win flags at collingwood,we play in the finals all the time and best of all if players stay at collingwood for the rest of their careers,they can write their own ticket after football.
WHO WANTS TO LEAVE THAT? So if they do good riddance,free agency starts next year.a lot of players at other clubs want to play for collingwood!

The other thing to remember guys is yes,this an open forum and yes we can all express our opinions but always be wary that some unscruplous media hounds read through all our posts and when collingwood is concerned they love starting ridiculous rumours that are totally false.

Even though PARA stated earlier about his opininons were just that,Journos love starting rumours from other peoples opinions,simply to destabalise our club.Donot give them any ammunition.

Unless you have strong evidence ! I am not saying people cannot express their opinions i am simply saying journos thrive on all this bullshit.

I have heard that Collingwood are not far off from Re signing Cloke and Pendlebury,Reid,bally and a few other stars very ,very soon.All contracts will be at least 4 year deals.

All the boys want to stay together to win a few more flags.....Money is one thing they'll get that but winning flags,creates very close bonds.

All our boys have grown together at the number 1 club,they we spewing they fell short last year.Grit the teeth,sign new contracts to assure their careers and then back on board to create history,and the Dynasty which should have started last year.

Don;t be fooled aside from money all Players want success and flags,just the money is not always enough.

Glory and your name in history is worth more than a few hundred thousand dollars.
You can always create money but you can't always create glory,

Like the old gladiator line............What you do in life can echoe an eternity.

Ask players from clubs who get paid well but haven't even played in a final most of their careers,what they would prefer ?

Aside from yabblett ask the Geelong senior team why they haven't gone to other clubs because of money.

Sooner than most people think,the players leave it to their agents,i am sure some may take just a little longer than others only becuase of certain logistics but they will all sign,

To give you an example Cloke has 2 agents now,His Father david who handles the footy side of things and RALPH CARR who handles all Cloke's promotional work.

Clokey is kept in the loop but he is only interested in playing and concentrating on his footy,the peripherals are handled by the other two.
Let me tell ya Clokey loves the pies !

i remember the leon davis thing,the Pies offered him 250k and he says he wanted 350k,no he didn't all Davis wanted was to go home,he got his wish and now he is on 50k
Collingwood stood by leon for years,did he stand by Collingwood just for one more year.....No .He got his wish si ce la vie !
