Pies On Holidays?

Pendles and Bally in Byron Bay...Swanny in Queensland...Daisy catching waves...am I missing something about our training this week...I am surprised the papers haven't been all over this.

Can anyone enlighten me?

A light week for them so most didn't need to be at the club until the main session on Wednesday.

Training loads are varied throughout the season, and a Friday - Saturday turnaround can be used to freshen players up.

A lot of other stories (Crowd behaviour, player sledging, Eade sacking) to distract the press this week.

Some of them were in Brisbane (Saturday) to watch the Lions play GC (next opponent). A bit of a break then back to Melbourne for main training. Good idea.

Tnx..I thought as much...just surprising the Collingwood media scumbags missed it...they were all over Geelong at Movieworld but missed Swanny at Dreamworld...lol

When we went to Sorrento last year the media were all over it, I'm surprised it hasn't been highlighted, goes to show they are running their own agendas, it's pretty poor.

All I know is they had 3 days off, so as already said, most players got out of Melbourne and had to be back by today's training..

After Friday night's game and with an 8-day break the players had a few days off, some went to Byron Bay for the weekend and into Monday, others went elsewhere. No big deal.

Wow, I am suprised that these guys are getting out of Melbourne... I am sure it is a good move by the club though. Hope it freshens us up for the last straight.

I do find it surprising that a bigger deal wasn't made of this by the media. Where's Patrick Smith and all his "hubris" BS?

Most of the players also attended the Dumbrell (owner of Repco - $23 million house in Hawthorn) house on Saturday night for a Collingwood Cocktail night for players and friends of the club. They are allowed to drink one night a week and they would have drunk alot, hope it didn't affect their recovery and they are all up for it this week.
