Pies would be clear unstoppable inside 50 if they had a key big forward that was mobile and a star goal kicker next to Mijocek, DeGoey, Stevenson, Elliot... imagine someone like Franklin or even prime Roughhead (Hawks) or Riewoldt (Tigers)

Cox does his job by drawing the big defenders, hence he actually is "OK" if he gets his hand on the ball and gets it down to the ground for the other Pies scrappers to pick up... but him going for a mark with one hand over and over and barely touching it does not help. But when on, he provides that key tall inside 50.... as example in the Tigers prelim last year.

I thought the captain was absolute vintage, awesome tonight.

Should be about 5-8 BOGs this year easy. Deadset could be close to Brownlow.

Unlikely because he doesn’t actually get as many simple easy votes as lover boys do but yeah imo in the top 5 players I have ever seen play. Probably second behind Hird imo.

We can be thankful tonight wasn’t one of them. I reckon we remain a decent chance of top 4.

4.3 to 7.15 after qtr time - Definitely kidding themselves

Except this does not tell the whole story.

We lost the North and GWS games with poor first quarters but broke even from 1/4 time.

I’m also going to turn it up on who allowed the bombers to wear predominantly black at our home game?

It’s laughable— I swear there were times our guys flicked a handball purely on the colour they quickly saw only for it to be an Essendon player.
They should have worn their predominantly red one and at their home game we wear our predominantly white one.

Visually at home it may seem ok but in an pressure game you don’t have time to assess stripes vs sash...the prominent colour out there tonight was black all over the field.

YEah defence was bad.

Between Greenwood taking out our own and trying to cause opposition goals, Scharenberg going out and Moore completely disinterested in staying on McKernan, they were really bad.

Noble the shining light and MAdgen seems to be getting incrementally better with each game, even if only a little bit.
