8 premierships decided, 5 of them to adelaide/brisbane, 3 of them to melbourne clubs and 2 of those are melbourne and footscray which had strong teams at the start of the league. Looking at the Pies, they look the same as they have for the last 5 years. And there are murmurs that things have cooled off in AFLW....no wonder as each season seems to be a rinse and repeat

The kicking to position is non existent. Every kick is 30 metres in the air and 20 metres in distance

Bottom of the ladder again. No talls anywhere on our team. Reminds me of the men’s recruiting strategy. Ruby playing in the middle when she’s an AA defender, because we have mids. There’s zero improvement in this team from last year in this first look. Nothing that will get me to watch each week. I’ll check the score and that’s about it.

we never took our netball program very seriously, look what happened there?
the basic skills still seem to be lacking. where are we recruiting from?
Fredericks actually looked like one of our better players, in what world is that allowed to happen?

The whole competition lacks skill and athleticism. It'll take 50 years at this rate before they're anywhere near a decent standard. One of the most disappointing competitions in the world of sport.

Wasn’t expecting too much with Davey, Allen, Breed, NMD, and Rowe sitting in the stands. We’re coming from a long way back, a lot of new faces, a lot of inexperience.

Looking at a few positives:

• Patterson was impressive on debut.
• Howarth battled hard and will be a bonus for us longer term.
• Cronin picked up where she left off last year.
• Barnett held her own in the ruck and around the ground.
• Schleicher is a beast in the midfield, tackles with intent. Needs to use the footy better. Be interesting it’s see if we can continue that or if she’ll have to go back to support Cronin and Butler.
• We got a glimpse of what Centra brings, great mark and goal.
• Frederick looked good both forward and in the ruck.

Back to Vic Park next Saturday to take on GWS. Got a bit to work on going into that game.

10 years and it still looks the same as it did in the first round.

we see what we want to see ..... from my ill informed vantage point the game has developed significantly over the 10 years

i enjoy watching it ..... if you dont then thats on you
