I don't think anyone will risk picking PIKE up in the draft.You might as well get a younger player who is more responsible.

If PIKE got sacked because of disipline,then why didn't WAYNCRY get sacked for 'The Touch Up 'he gave that women a few years back ?

It was Winnie that got the shit kicked out of him... have the Coppers pressed any charges??? why not??? because he had nothing to answer for... except slow fists.... a bit like a boy you know very well... How is Gary Moorcroft going???

Yeah, it's sad to see Pike go, but I don't think any club out there will take a risk on him. At 28 with a poor 2000 season and clb lists being cut to 38.....hang on, Blight and the Saints might. I remember in the '97 draft, Blight and Sheedy were both after him, but Sheedy was forced by his match committee not to take him. Apparantly when North named Pike, Blight's chin hit the ground.

Anyway, thanks for the memories (still remember that great run in the '97 semi-final vs the Eagles....four bounces down the wing and an inch perfect pass to Stuart Anderson for a goal!). Now, who's next for the #13 jumper?

Also, goodbye to Brady Anderson (about time they got rid of him), Brett Chandler (I am very sad to see him go....good luck for the future), Brad Stephens (at least you got one game), and Adam Hay.

I've got a photo of the 97 premiership team on my wall here at work & out of the 24 in the photo (players, coach & ass. coach) only 9 will be left by the time they finish cutting the list this year.

There's 8 left from North's 96 team and 14 left from the 1999 combination.

I remember reading somewhere that no Premiership combination has ever lined up again in another match.

Welswy... I might be mistaken... but I heard on the grapevine... that Gary was involved in an incident at the start of the year...

Were some dickhead tried to bait him all night... at a nightclub... and eventually Gary let go... (sounds very similiar to Winnie)

But the cops saw the video evidence and almost charged the other bloke... Gary saved by video evidence... now that is funny...

Now what happened 6 year ago... good dirt never goes astray...
