what rubbish

Jay Whalley would be one of Australia's best writers at times (Bernard Fanning has previously declared him one of his favourite writers) yet his songs are about as quizzical as 2+2. He has written many protest songs which have been outstanding. But his strength doesn't lie in deep, mind bending s**t...it lies in the ability to tell and convey a story.

This whole train of thought that only thought provoking and "deep" songs have worth is ridiculous. Most of them are superfluous and sound better then what they convey. Just because it sounds impressive doesnt mean it is.

Songs simply telling a story or how it is, can be just as worthwhile and well written.

Meanwhile back on Pink, how many singles is that she has lifted from this album now? 5 or 6? Talk about milking it for all its worth. Btw shes a hypocrit for teasing "stupiding girls"

Many bands release 5 singles...most between 3 and 5
 
Sorry to go on ranting about this, but the thing that pisses me off the most is the way she says 'I'm no longer going to perform this song' after Obama became President. What, did all of those problems she whinges about in her 'song' suddenly disappear once Bush left the office? Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't both unemployment and Homelessness increased under Obama?
