Places in Footscray area to watch the Bulldogs interstate games

Just wondering for other non-foxtel customers are there any pubs in Footscray that have the Doggies game on the bigscreen for interstate games? Seems on a saturday arvo in most pubs with a sports bar its just old blokes punting on the horses or greyhounds.

Does the Mona castle in Seddon have Foxtel. If it does that would be the go. Great pub. You can toss the boss on Saturday's too

Yeah it's a class place...they do have a sportsbar from (hazy) memory although give 'em a buzz to confirm they have Fox Sports.

Rifle is always good too if you can get to Willy.

Mona Castle is a great old Bulldog friendly pub in Austin st. Seddon, with Foxtel. Has smaller screens and a Tab but is run a a die hard Bulldog always has good support.

Cheers for the tips fellas. Me and the old man tried out Mona Castle, no foxtel. Ended up going to the Pound Cafe at Whitten Oval. Had a great atmosphere, pints for about $7. Had a burger was quite nice. Does anyone know if it is owned by FFC or privately?
