Plenty of people hate or don't care for Berlin but it's so trendy, people who have a so-so experience talk it up.
Most cities when you backpack are so-so. But if it's cool to like or hate those towns, then that's how most people espouse it.
Depending where I am, I might use a guidebook (or online) for some of it. Especially food on the first day in some Asian places where it might take time for my stomach to adjust. Generally, the "if they cook it in front of you and locals are there its OK" rule is fine; but I'm more cautious those first few days.I kind of get not wanting to go somewhere because it's trendy but the easy part of that equation is to avoid social media. I hate visiting somewhere that I have seen 101 photos of online. Loses that surprise factor.
Best thing I have done is avoid looking into where I am visiting. Best I'll do is buy a Lonely Planet guide and that is it. No googling the best restaurant, looking for user reviews and all that thing. I love walking around, sitting down and flicking through a book to guide me to the next destination. Something about using technology takes away that romanticism of adventure. That being said a GPS always comes in handy at times.
As a human you dont want to become a place no one ever wants to go back too
Some countries just dont do it for a second visit sometimes its just the cities.Don't understand people naming entire countries. How can you say you don't want to go back unless you've visited every city?

Limited time cant see everything but you get the vibe
Doesnt mean the place was bad just not what your interested in seeing again
Its just editingStill doesn't really make sense. It's hard to get the "vibe" of a country when another city an hour away in that same country is completely different. Cities yes you can judge and make a pretty reasonable call if you've been there long enough - countries as a whole certainly not. That's like going to Sunshine and saying wow Victoria is s**t I'm never going back to Australia!
Holland is pretty eh.
Kinda serious people, not really into fashion, no one has ever talked about Dutch food, and even the beer is s**t (your big export and the biggest beer is Heineken?). Weed is overrated and that and prozzies as an allure isn’t very classy.
The only enviable thing about them is the soccer team has always had a sick strip no matter what.
On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
I wouldn’t be judging Canada by Toronto. Montreal and Quebec even give it some cultural difference that the US doesn’t really have. Its just editing
I dont see any reason to go back to Switzerland,Austria, Belgium,Luxembourg or Holland I ve driven through and spent time in a few cities, towns and the country side, had a good time, liked the people and scenery but.
If I went to Europe again it would be back to the Mediterranean and never back to those countries.
Ive been to the States 3 times been everywhere North south east west and Hawaii and would rather go to Asia or Europe than ever go back to the states.
Ive been to Canada once, only to Toronto and have zero interest in going back, there are too many place I havent seen to bother seeing more of what I feel Im not that interested in.
Im sure there are beautiful places and nice people and Quebec sounds interesting but,I would rather go back to somewhere Ive been before that I liked or somewhere new than bother going back to Canada

I could take or leave Monaco, Vatican City or Tuvalu again.
Lol I've written off whole continents.
Come at me.
Antarctica?Lol I've written off whole continents.
Come at me.
Look, Im sure its lovely its just not for me, Ive got other places Im way more interested in than another modern, English speaking, first world country, with crap American food.I wouldn’t be judging Canada by Toronto. Montreal and Quebec even give it some cultural difference that the US doesn’t really have.
