Travel Plane Crash In Colombia

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

A plane has gone down shortly before arrival in Columbia. Some survivors have been reported but the wreckage location has been hard to access by emergency services. The plane was carrying a professional football team as well as others on a flight from Bolivia.

Horrible news. Just what went wrong?

Electrical problems reported when the aircraft declared Mayday.

No fire signs on the wreckage. Speculation the aircraft may have run out of fuel.

22 football journalist on board. Radar footage of plane circling airport is eeree.

English made aircraft, so western media will blame something else than plane malfunction.

Thankfully the wreckage was found quickly preventing another "Alive" situation in the Andes.

Naturally, it is a tragedy that people have perished though.

Reports of electrical failure on plane that sent it down.

Six survivors apparently.

Also the same plane transported the Argentina national team for their international a few weeks back. Already a big story, if Messi, Aguero etc were on board...
My god it could've been them! Or the millions of other people who travel by airplane each day

They're more likely to get into a fatal buscrash on the way to the game.
Plane travel is for the most part the safest form of travel, but it is the only one where you have no control of the situation essentially.

People are saying electrical failure and/or fuel loss. I don't usually like to speculate with these things but someone/something has seriously ****** up for either/both of those to have been the cause of an accident (in general something has to go really wrong but these are two of the most controllable/defensible systems on the a/c). Sounds a tad like the avianca crash on approach to jfk (not including the weather which was a major factor in that one).

We'll just have to wait for the Air Crash Investigations episode to be made about it so we can find out what caused the crash.
