...you f@&king motherf@&kers.

I’m sick to death of not playing a proper forward line structure, the benefits of which should be clear to anyone who’s participated in at least one Wednesday night U11s training session in their life, whilst also watching opposition talls at the other end routinely disembowel us and use our rotten entrails to make an origami nativity scene.

So for the love of the lower intestine baby Jesus cut this s**t out. Stop trying to be too clever by half and just do things properly for once.

Play Todd Marshall.

Pretty please with sugar on top.

P.S. Ken be a man and drink real Coke or don’t even bother.

P.P.S. The traditional formula works.

Yep. Even if he's not tearing games apart, we absolutely need to get the experience into him. Sam Gray might be able to kick a few goals on the odd occasion but that won't help us in the long run. We aren't winning anything this year so development of our youngsters should be the aim.

The goal should be to get this guy to 50 games as quickly as possible and then judge where he's at.

Really hope he pus his hand up today and gets his spot back.

Hinkley we just do his typical crap and probably drop butters.

Remember that time Howard kicked 8 goals for the Magpies and still didn’t get selected?

Yeah.

You need to be good, not just be tall. Something this board does not understand and never will.

Westhoff and Ryder didn’t stop the Richmond small defenders marking everything uncontested. Need to make a contest.

Marshall needs to play some decent football and earn a spot back. Unfortunately this is looking like it will be a difficult task.

Aw, yeah, nah, look, Toddy is a big part of our future, he knows that, we know that, but he has some things he's gotta work on, he knows that, we know that, but aw, yeah, nah, look, we'll review the game during the week and see what needs to be changed structurally, we know things have got to change, that's not the brand of football we want to play, that isn't Port Adelaide football, but yeah, nah, look, Toddy will certainly be in those discussions during the week, he knows that, we know that, he's got to put his hand up with a strong performance in the San Full today, and he knows that, and we know that he can deliver, but he's got to prove himself, but there's no guarantees in this game, you'se know that.

I don't know how you do it, but all your posts are generally the exact opposite of what I'm thinking.

Good thing Marshall’s more than just tall then hey?

We don't have a single fit ready to go key forward. So play Marshall and let him grow into it. It's not the ideal solution but when is football ever ideal. Footy ain't Playstation.

Ryder is not a go to key forward. Never has been never will be. And get Westhoff back on a wing.

If Frampton wasn't suspended I'd say pick him too.

And stop chasing all these tweener swingmen and get a guy who knows how to forward.

He'll get injured today. Lock it in.

Even if he doesn't he's on a hiding to nothing. Bring him in against the Eagles defence in the wet, then dump him straight away. The script is already written.

Westy is one of your most dynamic players and Hiinkley is killing him! I had to kick him out of my Supercoach side last week because he's been hidden in a full forward cave like an Afghani fugitive.

For god sake play one of your young prosepcts at full forward and let Westy thrive on the wing where he can beat just about anyone

Or Frampton. Might have been handy as we bombed it in long to have someone outside of a Ryder who couldn't make a contest in the forward line to stop grimes marking everything. But Sam Gray kicked 2 gimme goals out of his 3 and wasn't seen again when the game was on the line.
Edit I know he was suspended but goes for every week

Can you name a Key Forward who has come into the game recently and dominated from Game 1? It is a difficult position to play, every single Key Forward in other side has flat patches and smart Coaches realize that you need to show patience. Look at Hipwood for example, has played quite a few anonymous games, but the coach held faith, and he is beginning to reward that faith. Marshall has shown some good form in his 12 games (of which we have won 10). Ryder has proven over an extended period of time he is not a good Key Forward, sure he can fill in, and for a Ruckman is a handy guy to spend some time up forward. Westhoff has shown over the years, he plays his best football as a roaming swingman. Marshall has a decent game against Melbourne, before copping a couple of head knocks, and there was an argument to rest him against Carlton to make sure he was 100% right. But one poor game against Carlton and he is straight out, why is it that a young player, playing in a difficult position is judged more harshly than half-backs, small fwds, mids? Marshall is good (or has the potential to be good) but never will be as long as Hinkley is coach.

It's not Sam Gray vs Todd Marshall. It's underperforming midget out and Marshall in. Motlop to go chase the parked cars at Noarlunga or wherever.

Problem is Hinkley is dumb AF....

You're right he is absolutely killing Westhoff, but he is stubborn beyond belief and will ruin our year before admitting he got it wrong. Wouldn't play Frampton last year until the last game of the year.
