What a terrific contribution S Edwards has made to the RFC dynasty. In 2017 when the Tiges were being bagged for being skill-less, Edwards often popped up with a magician's bag, to get the ball out of impossible situations in tight, and his ball control, velcro hands, and disposals were often things of magnificence. And in space he was equally damaging, with his looping passes by foot and hand.

And fair. And honest.

He is not oft mentioned in Tige's Pantheon...he should be.

Goodbye and good luck, Shane.

One of those guys that you look back and are a little surprised not to have won a best and fairest after being a good contributor over a long period of time.
In 2017 particularly, he provided much needed razzle dazzle on top of the grunt and gut running the team already had.

Was genuinely no good for about five years at first.
painfully skinny and played way too early.
but he blossomed.
probably the best handballer in close at the club for the past decade.

I have always thought every team needs a Shane Edwards. Seemed like a guy who milked everything out of himself whilst winning the ultimate prize multiple times and is still grounded enough to stay humble and team oriented.
Congratulations to him on a great career, Richmond FC should count themselves lucky to have had him at the club.

Shane Edwards was a jet, and anyone says otherwise either hates Richmond or doesn't watch enough of their games.

Bloke finished runner-up best and fairest in a premiership year, polled Norm Smith Medal votes in two premierships and was a well deserved All Australian in 2018 - the one year Richmond did manage to dominate the H&A season.

A brilliant player and fantastic person.

Shedda did things that you missed because he was so quick and did stuff you just didn't expect. He is/was a leader in turning the team from a rabble into a dynasty.

Great career and hopefully he'll leave with 4 premiership medals.
