Think it just means he flies under the radar of the neutral fan. I'm not digging the bloke.
...flies under the radar of the neutral fan who doesn't watch much footy, then pings folk who watch more footy than them...
ROAR!

Most oppo fans don't know him well but he was the stealth bomber who helped win the war (and three flags) along the way.

Most Richmond fans had their doubts early (he was just bones) but what a player, and a man, he became.

Best #67 in League history.
Is he even top 3?

Lance Franklin and Shaun Burgoyne certainly better.

Daniel Wells?

What Edwards did better than any player going around was use handball to start the wave that Richmond created in their good years. His forward hand-balling as opposed to those that go sideways or backwards was so damaging as it released players into space running forward. In his 2018 AA year his forward hand-balling was average twice that of the next player, Saad from memory. Was pretty handy by foot also.

Unassuming and very humble, how could you not like Shane Edwards as a player.
