The best way to go, unless you're actually able to watch tapes every single week, is to not worry about it until after the draft, and to not act like a pompous arseh*le because you've watched 2 minutes of highlights put together by the kid's mum.
(Not directed at anyone in particular. This "everyone's a draft expert" attitude shits me)
im sorry, whats the upside? On sen they said Darcy Lang is our man, apparently a bit of upside as he had badly damaged ankle last year

At least it is a mid! I don't want us to reach for a tall, especially Apeness! Lang wouldn't be my choice but he is a decent pick.

Our forwardline seriously lacks depth though, I don't fancy us doing a Carlton and solely picking up mids at the expense of our forwardline continuing to be dysfunctional.
The Geelong Falcons footy boss is notorious for pumping up the tyres of his kids (Lang is a falcon), but he described Lang as a shorter Jimmy Bartel, which is a bloody decent wrap.
Having said that it'd be a fair reach to take him with our only decent pick after the year he didn't have, Keane would have to reeeeeaallly rate him to pull the trigger at 26
Obviously speculative, but I wonder where he would be talked about going if he had been injury free.
Hey I agree, still doesn't mean you reach for forwards. Next year there are so many KPP's- how about we draft one then! The only forward I would consider would be Marsh as we are not reaching too much. Apeness is the one bloke that screams tweener for me, for me that is a reach to get him at 26. Hoping someone takes him so we don't have a chance to get Apeness!
True I'm actually cooling on Apeness at 26 myself. Would very much like us to go Marsh at 26 and Nankervis at 55, then pick up Conlon and Fuller in the rookie draft.
Seaby - pretty sure his knees are rooted?
I personally would go Marsh at 26 and Heavyside at 55. But I can see the temptation to grab a midfielder at 26. Really think Marsh is a direct replacement for Crameri but unlike Crameri he has the potential to play in the middle at times.
Probably a druggo or sex offender or somesuch

Is one of those Dunstans meant to be Dumont?Really like those highlights and video on Lang. Was actually rated very highly from memory going into the 2013 season after a very solid under age performing year. Avg 23 possessions a game in the TAC this year and was in best 4/7 games acc to stats. From watching his highlights has all the tricks and ability. I think his question marks must come from his tank/engine and injuries because i dont see to much wrong with him (albeit off only a short video).
From what i saw in the video. Can really hunt the opposition see one of his 3 in a row tackling efforts. Has a very nice leg and can also pull his kicks and his short options. With this comes great vision and decision making. Kicked a set shot from the guy not far inside the 50 which is impressive. Kicks the footy low, flat and hard. Can turn on a dime looks quite agile (hopefully injury hasnt changed that for him). Another huge plus for Lang is he played some serious football early on in 2012 for Geelong Falcons and hes born on draft day (21st Nov). So in 2011 if my math is right he turned just 16 late that year and early the next year was in the best every week and finding plenty of the pill with goals.
Pick 26 order of preference for likely candidates:
1. Garlett
2/3. Lang/Dunstan
4. Templeton
5. Dunstan
6. Tsatis
Pick 55 Best Tall available (dont really care too much).
Does Anyone know how Liam Jurrah went this year?
Edited. Yes Dumont is 2/3 for me.Is one of those Dunstans meant to be Dumont?
I can see the logic there, we do need a ruck though so if Nankervis and/or Conlon was there at 55 I think we'd have to pull the trigger on one of them. Then if possible pick up the other in the rookie draft and another mid (my preferences for that would be Fuller, Cavarra, Heavyside).
just watched meet jono marsh video on AFL website, he's for me #highlightpackage #madebymum #draftexpertnow #canplay #gun

Thats why youd move onto Lang as the next best option on my list.St Kilda would be beyond bonkers to pass on him at 18/19
