Jay Kennedy Harris would be the one but we would be paying 26 for him, won't get past North's pick 30.

Personally was hoping someone a bit more senior ready to slot in, and who wouldn't cost so much (ie 55, or rookie draft). Just a shame Garlett didn't have his head on last year and behaved like a pork chop when we trialed him could have got a good one cheap. In any case I am sure there won't be anymore hbf's taken by us in the main draft.

Is it pressure? No doubt set shot kicking is a different beast compared to on the run. Hurley doesn't seem the most relaxed type when in front of the sticks under pressure as well.

Yeah his set shot isn't the greatest, but it's not really his fault given he's being played out of position.

The thought process is completely different between a set shot and a kick on the run. When you kick on the run a lot of the process is automatic and the muscle memory takes over so you tend to be more accurate. Kicking from a set shot allows time for thought and it becomes easy to over think it. Routine and focus become important because they tend to reduce overthinking and the perception of pressure.

Marsh - From the highlights package he appears to be like Rhys Stanley - Athlete rather than footballer.

Agree with this, doesn't seem to have one grab marking ability either. Not sure we can afford to go with a high risk pick this year. Would prefer to go Mitch Harvey, even moreso if the long term plan is Hurley to the backline.

Someone tell Dodoro and Keane that its the forwardline that needs the most bolstering (then the rucks and midfield) not the defence! This is why our forwardline has been a basketcase since Lloyd and Lucas retired, silly recruiting.

Our forwards (most notably Hurley) also pretty regularly drop marks inside 50 even when uncontested and the set shot kicking generally is pretty ordinary.

our forward line is a basket case cause it seems like the plan is to force a turn over and then stream into the 50, and if we happen to get the ball first well just kick it into the forward line and start trying to create a turn over

Since I just read the article you posted, my thoughts are now that he will be the best in the draft. Great write up and although I hadn't heard much of him at all, I feel I am now qualified to not only claim him as my boy, but also declare that if we don't draft him, our recruiters are spuds.
