I hope this isn't Elliott all over again.

But I've gotta say, any improvement on a full knee reco is a relief.

Agree.

I do worry with our Rescent History with Injured Players

Most unfortunate and untimely injury, he was starting to carve his niche. Lock him in the weights room for the duration as I think the extra size has had a significant impact on the way he's playing.

As mentioned by others, better this diagnosis than the dreaded ACL. The "conservative" path has me a little worried though, we probably had a 0% strike rate on conservative options on injuries this pre-season?!

Walsh has revised the estimate of return. If 'all goes well' (i.e. if the month in the brace shows stabilisation etc.), then he'll be back in 10-12 weeks. Still not as bad as ACL in the scheme of things, but a disaster for him in the context of the season.

He's shown grit and good form in the games he's played. As long as he shows the same attitude in rehab, I'm sure he'll get a contract and an opportunity to show his stuff for us soon enough...even if that isn't until next season.

Yep still a big chunk isn't it. Has just been one thing after another for him since he got to the Pies, he deserves a clean run at it after the signs so far this year were very promising so far

Yeah, as I said earlier and some posters ridiculed me for, that sounds like close to season ending.

If he can’t get back he gets a 1 year deal.

Hasn’t done enough to completely alleviate the concerns about him. Shame to lose him when he was starting to show something.
he's shown enough to get a 2 year deal after this year.

Yes & we have such a great track record with injury management. Especially when we are told rest will cure things.
Almost guarantee Aish will need surgery after 4 weeks then & we will have wasted 4 weeks recovery. It's what we do. :(

Are you suggesting that when a surgeon gives a player advice to rest and hope for improvement, he should say "No way. My mate had a totally different injury and rest didn't help. Cut my open now!"

Let’s be real, he’s played six solid games, after two seasons of mediocrity.

This is how we ended up with Smith and Oxley on the list too long.
He's not in the Smith or Oxley category.
You do realize he's still only 22 don't you?

Oxley got a 3 year deal to begin with. And Aish has shown this year that he can be a very good footballer. 2 years would be fine.
Coming off a debilitating leg injury? We saw what happened to Ramsay, I’m not sure Aish has any more runs on the board really.

Of course not. Merely stating that the advice to rest instead of operate on the likes of Elliott & Greenwood in the pre season hasn’t exactly been a resounding success. Hope Aish is a better outcome.

Perfect answer. Unfortunately the human body and it's recovery is unpredictable. It rely annoys me that the club keeps getting blamed for decisions that should belong totally in the hands of players being advised by specialists.

FM if the likes of Oxley,Blair are still hanging around on our list (should of been discarded 3 years ago) surely Aish gets a new 2 year deal, one is BS for a player of his age/talent, shown plenty so far and it's a dam shame his got injured.
