lockyer vs s.fischer?
id go with fisher should average 90-95 where as lockyer should average 80-85 so you will benefit by 10ppg.

as for your post below i would go mcintosh should hopefuly average 75+. ottens has looked out of sorts in the nab series and has had injury problems.fraser may average 80+ but is he worth the extra 40k over hamish? well thats your decision but h-mac for me.

mitchell should average around 90. gets a ton of the pill but tends to handball a lot and dosnt get a heap of marks.also likely to get tagged quite often but still should ok. personally selwood looks the better option at that price

young flys under the radar a bit and should average around 90 as well. generally hes a mark the kick type player so he gets heaps of 6 point plays.very unique player in dt circles but could be a handy pick up. there are others in that price catergory to consider. gibbs, knights, judd etc

i am tossing up whether or not to have the following

deledio + roughhead

selwood + silvia?

thought??
i would expect deledio to average 95+ and roughy around 85 so thats 180 and 2 definete keepers.

selwood should average 95 but silvia im a little unsure about has the potential to average 90 but more likely 75-80.

i would go the 1st option purely on having 2 definete keepers and its the more safer option. but there aint a lot in it. foley and cousind should get the tag which will allow deledio to run free and rack them up. and roughy will get great supply from the hawks mids and should kick his 4 or 5 a game.

what about porpz vs roughhead?

fraser vs macintosh vs ottens ??

I would say Ottens. He is playing for a high scoring side, can sneak forward and kick a couple goals and if he can stay injury free should average more than big mac and fraser.

If you need some cash though then macintosh is a good option but i cant see him improving much from last year.

Something to think about, Sylvia had 10 scores above 90 (6 above 94) from 18 games last year and averaged 82 for the year.

Roughead on the other hand had only 6 scores above 90 from 22 games and averaged 79 for the season.

IMO it will be much harder for Roughead to become a 90ppg player than it will be for Sylvia. For Sylvia its 2 kicks and a mark extra per game. For Roughead its 2 kicks 2 marks per game more. 90ppg is the minimum I would be wanting from my keepers.

what about porpz vs roughhead?
ive been looking at porps as well.he should average 90 for the year but there is a few question marks as to wether he will play round 1 as he had shoulder surgery during the summer. if you have good enough bench players to cover for a week or 2 then get porps. its certainly an option im looking at. with a bit of luck he might even be right to go round 1. he could be a great buy at 347 000 odd. gets plenty of the footy and kicks 2 or 3 goals a game very unique choice but one im seriously looking at

K.Cornes + C.Cornes (2 port) vs Swan + H.Shaw (2 pies)
Would have to be the Cornes brothers. For the simple reason that Chad doesn't struggle with taggers like Heater does.

Cox + HMac +0k vs Simmonds + Petrie +24k

With HMac and Petrie playing alongside Hale, which of the three will be the No 1 ruckman. Im a bit worried about Laidley's propensity to use Petrie as a KPP sometimes which i would imagine would limit his scoring potential in those games, however he does play far more regularly and would be a better 'lock and leave' player

fraser vs macintosh vs ottens ??

Fraser is getting on abit but I think he will be consistent enough to give you round about 70 week in week out with the odd low and high score a possibility.

Macintosh has more room for improvement but whether he will that's anyone’s guess.

Ottens durability is a concern but like Fraser I don't think you can expect huge scoring potential.
I'd probably go with Mac...

why cant you see mcintosh improving on his 67 average from 2009?
do you know something we dont know

mcintosh is the #1 ruckman, no doubt at all about that
hale is a full forward
petrie will play chf/chb with some time in the ruck
petrie only rucked last year because H went down

seems like a lot of people are underrating mcintosh this year
as far as numbers go he was ahead of cox at the same age before his injury plagued 08

hes still very young in terms of ruckman and should be able to get back to his all australian squad form and better :thumbsu:

has only played 50 odd games you would hope the big man has still got a bit of improvement left

i dont think any of them are great options but i would go for lockyer if i had to

how do people compare ...

bartel, abblet, thompson and swan...

make the comparison based on value for money..

i have gone with swan as i feel that he is a semi bargin at 450k.. does bartel and abblet really deserve the extra 50k?
