Bock and Beams. Newman has hit his ceiling and will let Tuck, Deledio, Cousins, Johnson et al run through the midfield. He'll be called on for specialist roles in defence and midfield. Robinson wil struggle to keep his place because of the way he plays and because of all the players set to come back. Beams is borderline 22 - hit and miss on beams.

option 2 has more certainty to it. Hmac is underpriced but by how much? Z man has been named already but according to the port board, W.Thompson will be more like the guy to play 1 or 2 games and then miss 2 or 3 before he play again.

Can't you get Stevey J or NGBrown instead of Gia. Not a fan of Gia.

Harvey has said through the preseason he has been played on the wing and halfback. Now he will played through the centre. I expect an increase.
To me the only question mark is on his body.
Mackay will get more game time but he is not the ball magnet someone like Chris Knights is. Adelaide have some great midfielders in the making and at the moment their are a few ahead of him for these positions - he'll be used sparingly on the wing and half forward, half back these sorts of places.
Reilly as sweeper concerns me - if he was in midfield I'd have picked him.

At that price you have to go the player that is in the best 22 and has put the scores on the board before.

I think Otten has the ability to high scorer, but i think he has a bit of a pea heart and could go missing.

Currently ive got the first option

Jacobs/Spencer + Buddy + Fisher vs Hmac + Krakouer + Adcock
obviously the first is very risky, curious to hear anybody else starting rookie rucks with the huge selection this year. Currently option 2 is locked in for me the safer option.

You're still around the egg... im impressed. I have gone both making it an easy decision. Moved heaven and earth for it to happen though.
I think you choose rich before you choose otten. Otten is competing with too many players... you pick him now thinking hell impress enough to hold his spot. He has more upside... i think rich is a safer pick.

Kornes & Gia V Dalziell & Pav
The former has the consistency, the latter the scoring potential. At the moment I have Kornes & Gia, but am seriously considering going taking a risk with Dalziell and Pav...
Also, with Hill now not seemingly guarenteed a spot in the first round, is it worth having him on the bench, chewing up a valuable $60k? I guess there are no other really standout backline options and we must remember Harvey didn't play Palmer rd 1 last year...

Unfortunately there aren't enough solid rookie defenders to allow Hill to start. It's too bigger risk.
Kornes and Stevey J/NGBrown. No on Gia.
Dalziell and Pav could be great. I'm not sure on Dalziell though and like Stanton a lot better at that price point.
