Why is everyone chosing Lockyer. There are much better options available at his price. He did well in a game against kids in a Nab cup game. Big deal. What will change from last year. He will average around 80-85 imo.

boak vs mclean

I'd go Boak, everyone seems to think he is going to become a very good mid this season.

Got some spare cash in foward line, dunno if this has been done before but what do people think about D.Headland vs P.Veszpremi. Both similar price.. dunno who to choose.

Heres a few i am having trouble with...

Masten vs Cotchin

Pav vs N. Brown (richmond)

Judd vs Cousins vs Goodes

Opinions would be appreciated. Cheers

Sorry I should have explained better. To me, six scores over 100 shows he has great scoring potential and just needs to get some consistency to increase his average. Sylvia on the other hand, had no scores over 100 so I can see him struggling to match Brennan's average this year

Fair enough, cheers for clarifying. I just checked out Sylvia's 2008 DT stats. One score over 100 (132), and about 8 scores 90+. There is certainly room for improvement there too. I agree that based on their prices, durability and likely roles in 2009, Brennan appears the safer bet. But safe bets don't always pay off...

Which two of the following?

Richo, Harvey, Gia, Deledio, Franklin, Chapman, N.Brown and S.Johnson?

I've got Richo, Lids, Chappy and Franklin as my premium forwards at the moment. Hard to go wrong with any of them though. Few comments below.

Richo is just about the perfect DT player (if fit). Takes marks, is an aerobic freak and kicks goals.

Chappy might be the most underpriced of the lot because his hammies restricted him last year. By the same token, that means he's the most risky, although from all reports he'll in good shape at the moment.

Franklin is a freak, and I'll probably have him in my team purely because I can't watch him tear up a game and enjoy it if I don't. Has a few variables, including a limited pre-season and a question mark over how hard teams will go at him this year (but he showed last year that he could overcome this). Has upside if he improves his kicking.

Stevie J is probably more of a "pure" forward than the others (not including Franklin) who run through the middle more. For this reason I'm not picking him.

re: brennan, i see him playing more of a midfield role, rotating between there and a hff, which should mean higher possessions and hopefully a couple of goals too

I would go with Richo or Harvey, and Deledio.

This is mainly because I stick to the method of prioritising C/F forward premiums ahead of just F forward premiums.

I think Deledio will absolutely tear it up this year.

Alright here's one for you all, for a 6th forward option:

Skipworth vs Rusling

skipworth by a long way, he performed last week with 90+ and is a definate for essendons mid.

Jesse W Smith vs A Raines vs C. Dempsey vs Jack Grimes vs Shannon Hurn

Unsure on my 2nd premium forward. Opinions would be appreciated.

Jarred Brennan/Brent Harvey/Simon Goodwin/Nathan Brown
