See I disagree and think Ibbo is the right choice though its close enough for my mind to be changed.

Any reasons?

last year masten looked like a natural ball winner and scored very well...and apparently had ripped up the track this pre season...also looked good last night especially in the first half

ibbo didnt look like he was finding the ball as well as masten....and scoring 100 seemed to be very rare for him

not sure how ibbotons summer went but masten is my choice

Yeah. If he wasnt he would be in everyones team :p.
Should be back by round 1 though.

if hes back for round one he will be in my team because atm i have malceski but im not too sure how he will bounce back...ellis in the grand final was very good and looks to be a very good dter

Well first of all, Ibbo is more expensive and the both can score about the same. Also, Masten is a player who can get the regular 100, and I highly doubt that Ibbo can do that yet.

Whats the link to that site that shows every dreamteam score each player has got? I reckon that may not be the case there PIHL.

I have Ibbo and at the moment I am going to stick with him. Might change due to preseason form though.

Ill give you the links for Ibbo and Mastens last year scores.

Ibbo 08 - the highest he got was 99, but seriously, I rekon Masten has 100% more chance then Ibbo averaging 100 if you had to choose.

Masten 08 - you may think im wrong, but I would pick Masten out of the two TBH.

Fish easily. Very consistant and younger.
I don't know if it's so clear cut. Both are extremely durable having missed only 3 games each in the last 3 years.

Averages for last 3 years for each:

Scotland:

06: 104
07: 96.1
08: 89.5

Sammy Fisher:

06: 80
07: 85.5
08: 90

You could either conclude from those stats that Scotland has a proven ceiling which is well above last years average and as a result could well be underpriced or you could argue that whilst Fisher is improving his average by 5 points per season, Heath is regressing by roughly the same margin.

What do others think?

Was evaluating the exact same thing before. I stuck with fish coz heath is coming off groin surgery (according to FF blog team projections, first i heard of it).
Also, the saints seem pretty much unchanged, and with goose probs coming back in, he wouldnt take much away from fish and could probs free him up a bit more.
Whereas the blues brought in Chris Johnson, who i see as a good addition running it out of the backline if thats where they choose to put him, potentially could take some ball from heath, though carrazzo's elbow may uncramp the situation for a while.

for only like 1k more i feel a lot more confident in sam fisher than i would with scotland

Here's a good one.

Drummond vs Malceski.

Both good options with potential to score 100+. However Drummond is injury prone, while Malceski has come back from a serious injury. Both prices are roughly 300k.

I personally would take one, but both would be a bit of a risk.

i'd go drummond in a heart-beat. surely his injury run cannot continue. new coach, slightly different role in the team and boy when he gets going, he scores big! :thumbsu:

tough one, went with had this sitch too, went with ceski coz he's less likely to break down than drummo's quad or hammy. i stuck with drummo last year and as much as i loved to see that left boot, it was frustrating seeing him not being fully fit, though it was interesting to see that drummo has a bit of a hike in his avg when u dismiss games where he got injured, this is more significant to him more than most of the other players.

now, Nathan Foley or Bernie Vince.

with BC pumping, will Foley get a little less attention.
The only thing that attracts Vince is how well the crows midfield works together, (at least i think they do:o)

I would definately be going for Drummond. As mentioned above he has the potential to string a lot of big scores together.

Personally, I wouldn't touch Vince at that price. He's a good player, but I don't have confidence in him taking the next DT step of hitting 90+ (Although I'd like him to prove me wrong ahah) Foley on the other hand I have more confidence in as Cousins is sure to take some of the load off him.

You guys have got to be kidding! I would never risk drummond - he has had numerous injuries in every season of his career. He has played four seasons, in which he played 14, 7, 11 and 13 games.

Yes, he did have that incredible purple patch in 2007, but even then it didnt last due to injury. Definately not worth starting, but thats just me.

I agree wholeheartedly. It'd be almost throwing one of your trades away considering he's almost just as likely to break down given his history of only playing half a season over his 4 year career. If i were to choose between him and Malceski, it'd be Malceski for sure. Although i've chosen to overlook him at this stage given i already have both risky 'comeback' players in Hasleby and Lucas in my starting 22.
