ADAM Oxley has been told by Collingwood he won’t be offered a new contract.
Oxley was re-drafted as a rookie 12 months ago, but won’t be offered another lifeline after managing only three senior games in the Pies’ 2018 charge to the Grand Final.
The defender, 25, was given the news on Monday.

It’s likely Josh Smith will join Oxley on the way out of a Collingwood side suddenly bursting with depth.
Smith made an excellent start to life at AFL level, playing 18 games in 2016 to become a Nathan Buckley favourite, but he steadily fell out of favour as teammates went past him.
At 24, the Queenslander would appear an ideal fit for Gold Coast, but it’s understood there has been little interest shown by the Suns.

The Pies announced seven new signings earlier this month, with Josh Thomas (three years), Tom Langdon (three), Darcy Moore (two), Flynn Appleby (two), Lynden Dunn (one), Jamie Elliott (one) and Tim Broomhead (one) all putting pen to paper.
Brody Mihocek agreed to a new two-year deal this week, while Josh Daicos, Tyson Goldsack and Levi Greenwood are also set to sign on.
But Jarryd Blair is still unsigned and Kayle Kirby is likely to retire due to a heart issue.
There’s better news for Essendon defender Ben McNeice who scored a new deal, with teammates Matt Dea and Mark Baguley now the only Bombers out of contract.
Bulldogs best-and-fairest winner Tom Liberatore and Richmond premiership player Jacob Townsend are others still to put pen to paper.
In other contract news on Tuesday:
HAWTHORN re-signed forward Ryan Schoenmakers, defenders Teia Miles and Ricky Henderson and emerging ruckman Marc Pittonet for another year. Daniel Howe has signed a two-year deal. Will Langford was delisted while rookies James Cousins, David Mirra and Conor Glass were upgraded to the senior list.
FREMANTLE forward Michael Walters has signed a two-year contract extension, committing to the Dockers until the end of 2022.
EXCITING Irish prospects Irishman Red Og Murphy (North Melbourne) and Stefan Okunbor (Geelong) have been signed as Category B rookies.
