List Mgmt. Player Contract Status

Tom Browne tweeted this morning (Collingwood mail usually not too bad) that Pies and Jack Crisp have started talks on an early contract extension.

Good idea by the club, has become a super important player for us, who is out of contract at the end of next season (2019).

Not a bad idea. Also, does anyone know what the length of a Cat B contract generally is? I've heard it's an indefinite period but unsure.

Thanks for that. I have been trying to keep this up to date as much as possible, but generally only read articles in The Age or Herald Sun after they're posted in threads that I read here (which isn't all of them), so probably would have missed it. Check AFL.com.au and 'Pies websites most days, but they don't always publish contract news.

Final list list of Pies contracted players for 2019.

39 Primary list
6 Cat A Rookies
1 Cat B Rookie

1 spot left free.
If we have 39 players on the Primary list, which is the case if Mihocek has been elevated, then there can only be 5 Cat A Rookies, as we can't exceed 44 on those two lists. Even though the article on the Collingwood website indicates that Madgen is a Cat. A Rookie that almost certainly would be incorrect. Logically, he must be a Cat. B Rookie, along with Keane.

Is it tampering if another clubs “Administration “ contacts a players agent , whose contract is up after 2019 ? Hearing Adelaide may be making overtures of interest towards a Midfielder whoms initials are B.S!

It's pretty normal. Out of curiosity, where are you hearing this?
