Hopefully we can backend Scarletts coontract so most of it is covered by the veterans list.
Every single one of those guys is probably looking at a pay rise. It's going to be a massive headache.

those 3 could be gone. Tenace & DJ need to have very good years if they want to survive and Nathans future depends on what he wants to do I guess.

They did call him a 'project player' when he was drafted so it'll be interesting to see if he can push for a game this year.

As you said a project player so it will only be a 'rough draft' at the end of the year. I'm guessing Bomber won't mind him being a bit undersized but by years end he should be showing a bit. Hogan and Bedford could be playing for the one spot on our list I think.

Chapman, Scarlett, Ling and Corey would be willing to take a paycut if it came to that, you would think. Selwood would be the hard one, as would Hawkins; clubs would throw all sorts of money at them, especially if they both have a good season.

Well, that will make things a bit iffy at the end of the season. But, if one bloke like Selwood is willing to take a pay cut, and I seem to recall the captain saying the same thing, I wonder who else will follow suit?

Bartel is a born and bred Geelong boy and I think he already took a paycut last time. Collingwood were offering big money if reports were correct.

If Nablett did not change his mind at seasons end the club would have to chop him. I don't think that kelly would be greatly missed as we have plenty of players in his mould. Bartel.... I don't want to think about it.

the club would obviously secure the bigger names first, eg bartel, ling, chapman etc, if we lose kelly or a similar player its bad luck but thats footy.

Jnr, Scarlett, Chapman, Ling, Mooney, Egan are players who would never leave. Mackie is probably another; he got offered quite a bit to go to Port didn't he? Same goes with Bartel. I think we'll be safe; we have a very passionate spirited bunch of players who have great loyalty to the Cats. Might have to lose a fringe player here and there, but that should be it.
