I am not one to start a thread when its inappropriate as i know that is frowned upon around here, although i couldn't seem to find where the player discussion threads had gone

feel free to close this thread however i think this is probably a common dilemma rather than just me. deciding who to play from your midfield if you consider your bench players as good as someone on the field

I just brought in Hartlett for hasleby to allow me to get buddy for skippy. although i have a bit of a dilemma in my centres- i don't know who to play

I have Ablett, Gibbs, Selwood.......and then Rich, Hartlett, Otten, Ziebell, Beams

Which 3 do i play??

my opponent this week has both ziebell and beams and i feel if they play they will both hurt me

however i think i have him covered enough in other positions to win. any ideas

Gee you have some bloody good rookies there!

I would go with Rich, Otten and Ziebell, they have proven themselves a little more than the other two.

End of the day, I would just pick the three with the highest current average.

Then check the chances of their team winning, as generally the team that wins, their players score higher in DT.

At a quick quess, I would pick Rich, Otten and Ziebell. (If you don't like one of those players I would pick Hartlett as my next option)

personally id play rich, otten and beams. rich will bounce back (after all he was 40 at half time), and otten and beams both capable of 100's. really is just luck though no way of picking. flip a coin? and if you argue with the coin's decision you know what one you really want. ;)

some good insights there thanks, although wouldn't be in this dilemma so much if i hadn't picked spent potential in my forwards orginally and had ziebell there instead

Thats what i did i have picken, rich, whitecross and coughlan. Now starting to get worried with Richs form, especially with coughlan getting through and the consistency of whitecross.

i think i might hold off trading robinson for a couple of weeks until cockie and de boer have played a couple. i dont like hartletts price enough.
if i remember correctly from last years freako, de boer blitzed in the u18 championship. can anyone confirm this? i cant find the stats anywhere.

I dont think otten is capable of 100s. Was 70ish at HT and still didnt crack the tonne.

to me that gives me an impression that he IS capable of getting the tonne. The fact that he didn't just simply get cheap points chipping it back and forward in junk time is a good sign imo.

Nup, i disagree 'sherrin'. Didnt go on - he has always started fast and then get loss ball as the game wears on. Dont get me wrong (i own him), he is good for 70 week in week out and has shown he can crack 9, i just think zaha and beams are more likely to produce 90+ than him.

So, do you take the 70pts otten has produced every week, or do you gamble a 45-50 from beams to try and get 90+. Its gambling 20 points for potentially a 20pt gain.

Agree, great starter slow finisher. Ziebell is in the same boat i think. (Kinda expected from young guys though).

You take otten's reliable score. And in 2 weeks when he loses the 90 from the rolling average you look at taking the cow to the slaughter house and enjoying the beef.

thoughts on marc murphy? hasnt been a whisper of him around here all season. will be around 385k next week and i think il be jumping on board. is definetly a premium and will average around the 100 mark for the year. anyone else considering him?

Im hoping he drops more than that. breakeven is about 130 IIRC. Come on murphy you spud, have another 80 please ;)

What is Hartletts break even this week?

I'm still pondering a Rich --> Hartlett move and would like that info.

Thanks.

Actually in Ziebell's 2nd and 3rd games he had huge last quarters so there's not a lot in that theory. It could just come down to when Laidley gives him the most TOG. Certainly a DT gun of the future.

What are people thinking of...Aaron Edwards.

If it wasn't for his 4 match suspension at the start of the season i would have picked him now im thinking a Walker/Brown trade to him which should cost about 30K and Edwards has gone 85,75 so far in his first 2 games back...thoughts?

Another good game tonight - he'll be up to 250k with another lowish breakeven.
