Prediction Player jumper numbers

They really need to have someone focus on the website, anything media is fine, but when it comes to this stuff it's lacking.
Overall that’s correct.
I’d so much prefer the player listings are done quickly and correctly straight away (ie within a working day).

To be fair, this year has been an improvement, actually by quite a bit.

They seem to have no trouble adding player stats on a weekly basis during the season. So while they have improved, there is always room for more important in this area.

Much more improvement, fair way to go.

But last year, and years gone by....
Macaffer used to have hair... now you know why he lost it...

All players* are now on the website with correct numbers listed.

* as to ensuring something to grumble about the duo of Irish stock are not listed with picture and number (on the rookie list)

Bring on photo day, because some of those images stand out lol
Photo day on memory is closer to season start than summer training start.

Now they've completed the set!: http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/season/players/rookies

Good job by the club to get this done so much earlier this time around. It will look better when they have the "proper" photos in place for the new players, but still good to see everyone there! Mihocek remains on the Rookies page, so (unless they've forgotten to move him) it seems quite likely that he hasn't been upgraded after all.

^ They do need to fix a few things on the Senior(s) List page (list view): http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/season/players/seniors

Will Kelly is shown at 186cm (should be more like 196cm), and they've got him as already having 12 games/6 goals (same figures as Daicos on row above - they do the same thing with Bosenavulagi's games/goals tally copying Crocker's). A long-running problem is that they haven't been putting in when the players made their debuts, in recent years. Murphy, Sier and Stephenson's 2018 debuts aren't shown, neither are the 2017 debuts for C. Brown and Daicos, and even the 2016 debut for Wills isn't there. The Rookie(s) List page (list view) doesn't show the 2018 debuts for Appleby, Madgen, Mihocek and Murray.

It just seems odd that someone can e.g. update it to show that Stephenson has 26 games/38 goals but not bother putting in when he made his debut!

That’s a bingo.

A little pride in getting such things right makes a huge difference.

Just silly or sloppy or both.

Yep! With only a handful of new players' details to add they should be able to get it right first time around. There also should be somebody who checks what was done in case a mistake has been made, and makes sure any errors are fixed. Simple!!

It’s almost too simple isn’t it

:)

To their credit they have fixed the height for Will Kelly, and the games/goals tally for he and Bosenavulagi, so good to see! Maybe they read BigFooty!!

35Daicos is it my imagination but does that make Will Kelly a bit shorter than he looks?

At 194cm that makes him 6’4” in the old; yet he looked quite a bit taller than old man Craig who was 190cm which is 6’2” or so in the old.

Not quite sure it looks on the eye that Will is a “mere” 194cm?

That’s be fair though Will is young and thin, Craig is a tad plumper and older. So it might be right but didn’t look it.

Your thoughts?

I'd imagine it's the type of industry where you'd struggle to get leave during the season(s) proper so by extension that likely means all the staff cram their holidays into the off-season. If so, then there'd be large periods of time between the GF and the start of AFLW where the media department would be running on the smell of an oily rag.

You're not allowing for the shrinkage that occurs as people get to 50+ years. Ned's probably only about 188cm now.

Shrinkage?
His age, he must have gone to the Hamptons and jumped in the pool.

:D

They might have short-changed him a bit, as on the AFL website's Draft Tracker his height is 196 cm. Yet the TAC Cup Grand Final Record only had him as 193 cm. Perhaps that was using a measurement taken earlier in the year, and he's closer to 196 now? Hope so! He does look more like a 6' 5'' than a 6' 3'' type to me.
