Having a look at our list and games played its interesting to see / predict what games milestones several players will reach in 2011 (hopefully:eek:)


Reaching 50 Games

M Brown - currently 37
E MacKenzie - currently 42
C Masten - currently 41
N Naitanui - currently 31
W Schofield - currently 35
S Selwood - currently 43


Reaching 100 Games

M Le Cras - currently 78
M Nicoski - currently 87:eek:
M Pridis - currently 83
M Rosa - currently 90
B Waters - currently 83

Reaching 150 Games

A Selwood - currently 133

Reaching 200 Games

D Glass - currently 196


Slowly building up experience throughout the squad.

Other interesting stats:

7 players on our main list haven't played a single senior game yet.

5 others have played less than 10 games.

Are we the youngest in the league?
GC will be but there senior players are (arguably) better than ours and they have at least 1 kid who is ready made, mabye two with toy??

I dont think its a given that our team will be more experienced again next year. You can see at least 2 kids who might play allot of games and usurp older players.

And i mean the teams that we actually field, not the squad.

No more excuses for that group going into playing 50 games anymore.
Apart from injury concerns, those players should be playing consistent football all season.
Exactly, Sheedy said once that the first 50 AFL games were a players apprentership period and we have a handy group reaching their 50 games next season if injury permits.

Other coaches have talked about the 'experience mix' needed to be top four, we are a couple of seasons away from that still but bar injuries we have no excusses in not improving in 2011.
