I thought while we are killing time in the offseason it would be interesting to look at the potential player milestones for 2014, I might be wrong and it isn't interesting at all, but here goes....

250 games:
Sam Mitchell - 245 games.
Shaun Burgoyne - 244.
Luke Hodge - 228.

200 games:
David Hale - 197.
Jordan Lewis - 193.
Brad Sewell - 190.
Jarred Roughead - 184.

150 games:
Josh Gibson - 148.

100 games:
Ben McEvoy - 91.
Brendan Whitecross - 84.
Liam Shiels - 81.
Ben Stratton - 77.

50 games:
Matt Spangher - 36.
Kyle Cheney - 32.
Bradley Hill - 29.

Whitecross, Spangher and Cheney are unlikely but we will get to enjoy some quality guys reach some important milestones in 2014, interesting to see who can go on to crack the 300 club, Mitch looks most likely and Lewis, Roughy and Birch (169) all being shots down the track.

Hill knocking up 50 in quick time will be good to see. Also surprised about Gibbo being so low. And the man, Stratts set for another massive september!

perfect, mitch to play his 250th in a win against the cats :thumbsu:
Doubt Hodge will play every game this year, but he could play his 250th vs. Geelong too... Gibbo may play his 150th vs Essendon.

Either way, i hope we get up for all the games, Kicking their arse would be even better.

The other milestone (huge for the player concerned) is potential debutants. I have sixteen potentials on the list with the ones having the most realistic chance being:

Hallahan (has to doesn't he?), Woodward (let's hope he makes it through the pre-season), Lowden (would want to!) and Garlett (must be fave out of the new recruits). We also have Ben Ross and Derick Wanganeen as potential rookie debuts (at least for the Hawks in Ben's case).

I think Kelly and Litherland were both named as an emergency in 2013 so with another pre-season must be good chance to debut next year. (of the two I would like to see Litherland come on more than Kelly, not because I have anything against Kelly, but just because Litherland's pace could be a weapon).

I would also like to see Tim O'Brien get a game or two to fast track his develpoment.

Called it :)

Can't believe I left "triple premiership coach" off Clarko's list of milestones though!
