Rucks wearing 1 and 11 works for me, so:

    1. Preuss
    12. May
    16. Kolodjashnij
    21. Top 30 pick
    23. Top 30 pick
    50. The most obscure rookie pick

Think the #12 should be retired for next season as a tribute to Col.

Nietschke should be given the #41, as a symbol of the population of his home town now that he's left :D

Provided we don't have any number switches of other players, which we tend to see 0-2 each year. Number 1 to be rested for a year and given to our first pick for next year or an FA acquisition or something (I'm looking at you Coniglio). That or put it on ice for K. Farmer in 2020.

I just realised that the right side of this part of the forum needs an update.
I still hope #12 is retired for next season.

Wouldn't be against offering Fritta or ANB a chance to move to #1 or #12 if they were interested. Or AVB in #1. As in our #1 campaigner.

Is Fritta Fritsch? I thought 31 was a pretty prestigious number at Melbourne, not the sort of number you'd shift out of.

Very wise and fair call and one I didn't think through when I had a quick scan of which players had higher numbers...

They're locker numbers too, so those >50 are unlikely to happen

You don't think they'd install 50 new, unused ones to accomodate? ... That's why we'll never be successful ...

The thing i love about Ben Brown is despite the player he has become he's never traded down from the #50.

Surely deserves an upgrade to the 70s or 80s by now.

That hairstyle is definitely from the 70s or 80s.

(but that's probably your joke, that I'm only just now getting)

    56??

Other than the Essendon top up players I can’t remember a number that high being allocated since list sizes were cut back in the 90s.

AFAIK 55 is the lowest number never to have played a senior game
