I have faith in Cotchin, his 2017 has been so much better than his last 3 years, I genuinely think he can carry it into September.

Does anyone believe Richmond can contend for the flag this year? Not being a smarta$$ or anything like that but personally I feel that they need to just win a final before I can think of them as a real chance to be premiers this year. Win in the first week, get that finals-monkey off the back and I reckon they can challenge.

Eddie Betts for me.

Not many small forwards do well in rhe more contested type of footy you get in finals.

If he can be the difference in a couple of finals it will solidify him in the upper echelon of small forwards.

Another vote for Cotchin. A dominant finals series would be huge for his legacy. Nowhere near my favourite Richmond player but if we won the premiership, he'd be the one I'd be most happy to see get the Norm Smith.

Richmond. 16 years since they have won a final.
If they dont win one this year the season has to be deemed a failure

Paddy Ryder could go from a 'mmeh`career to a new respect.

Eyes will be on Alex Rance.... the backman of the decade???????

Luke Parker.

Gone to water in two Grand Finals.
The whole team went to water in 2014, while he carried a PCL injury into the 2016 GF. Arguably he shouldn't have played that game, but it wasn't simply a case of him going missing. That said, would be nice to see him have a big GF were the Swans to get that far. I don't think his record in other finals has holes in it.

strange call. in our last 2 finals series we probably overperformed if anything, based on the regular season.
Yep. We've been front runners this year, no avoiding that, but under Hinkley's 2 finals campaign's we've finished after finals a higher ladder position then at the end of the Home & Away season. We don't have any that stand out as having flopped in the 2013 / 2014 finals and needing to redeem themselves in this years. None need a good finals series, but those on the list that haven't played finals yet can make a (good) reputation for themselves if they thrive.

there was that flavour of the week period when tex walkers season was being called under achieving/not good enough/overrated. captain of top side with 2 home finals. wouldnt want to have 2 stinkers at home.

*I couldn't believe people were bagging his season/how he plays and saying he doesn't do enough/is overrated. tall poppy syndrome in full effect

I think his reputation is fragile...fair or not. He doesn't play as a power forward, but very few do atm. Accused of being lazy... or at least coasting. IMO he has cameos in games but rarely tares them apart.

For an alleged CHF he is not in the top 20 of the last 20 years, but who knows come Sept.
