Does anyone know what happened to the money from the player retention fund that was set up in the mid 80's to assist the sanfl to retain quality players instead of them 'defecting' to the vfl? I've recently sent a letter to cornes' blog and it was deleted and not responded to.
Just curious to know what happened to the money?

There was about $6,000 left and ..well you know where that went

I think there was a bit more than that I was thinking along the lines of close to 100,000.

Ok being serious you raise a valid point but I think it would have been accounted for in the 1991/92 Annual Report by the SANFL

Remember when Steven Rowe and Mark Viska rolled that golf buggy and it all went away very quickly, I guess we now know where the money ended up.
