At the start i was bloody angry, i couldnt believe they had Ray Hall on Tredrea and i seriusly thought we were going to cop a belting, they were all over us for the first qtr and a half. Anyway

Krakoure- okay, i dont like seing him in the midfield/backline , hes too short to stop the marks and he has looked slugish

Pettifer- Good game, keeps improving hopefully can keep being consistant all year.

Chaffey-Solid, barely had poor disposals today and i think he was tagging Kane Cornes who ended up being sent into the forward line so that was a win for us.

Tivendale- Looked as though he was on Pickett for most of the day and picket was hardly noticed

Tambling- Was quick to dish off the handball to brown which set up a goal and did a few good things at ground level that got us a few goals, good debut hope to see him get a clear run at the ball in the next few weeks and excite us.

Deledio- Probly his best game i think, has very quick feet movement and as mentioned on fox footy its "judd" like movement, just hope he turns out half as good as juddy aye.

Hall- was decent/solid without being special. did one or 2 decent spoils, but id personaly like to see him straight out of the side when Jay is back.

Meyer- Impressive debut, had good skills, couldnt ask for much more with the limited game time he had.

Richo- Gun, was unstoppable today, noticed he played a kick behind play for about 5-10 mins when we had the game sealed. I wouldnt mind seeing him do that in games where we are getting pumped , we generally go back to old habits and kick to richo who is more often that not double teamed and struggling when we are under the pump.

Simmonds- was crap for the first half, then he rearly got his arse into gear and played a solid game, still drops the easy marks he should take and takes to long to kick the ball when he plays up the ground, couldnt beleive he took that grab in the sqaure against 2 port blokes.

Knobel- Didnt do a hell of a lot, the less time he plays is the better for us i reckon, as simmonds is a better option in the ruck and around the ground, is handy for short bursts in the ruck to help out simmonds and we can have staff at FF.

Stafford- Was on the pine most of the day , kicked the opening goal for us and the last, provides the big target and often "missmatch" when playing out of the sqaure. Again handy for short bursts in the ruck for 10 mins a half .

Brown-Excellent , should have kicked 8-9 rearly, missed a few ones that where pretty easy

Newman- Didnt notice him too much today but obviusly did his job

Kellerway-Supergame coming back to his AA form

Gasper- Same as Ak

Johnson- bench most of the day

Campbell- Not a stunning game but the role he has played lately, on and off the bench, uses the footy so well when he gets possesion pretty much allways gets the best option

Graham- Decent game, has been a handy pick up so far for us.

Coughlin- Again he had a fairly solid game and its good to see him getting to his old form

Bowden- Slow start to the game but then got into it when we started to blitz them.

Tuck- Another great game, he rearly got us back into the game in the 2nd qtr , provided a spark, would havta be one of the most improved players in the comp

Knobel continues to really improve around the ground. He played off the bench, but he took a couple of strong marks again. The last 3 weeks he has proven he is not useless around the ground and he can be relied on to take a mark and give off a pass or kick a goal. He usually beats his opponent in the centre hit outs also.

Pettifer killed us

Been a very good kick for goal this year and that was one of the key differences between the sides. Port were dominant early, but missed a lot of easy set shots. Richmond took their chances which initially kept them in touch, then allowed them to reel in Port and then roll them.

Terrific game from everyone today!!! I remember when Port got 28 pts up, I thought it was going to be like last week and said to myself it was game over, but credit to the entire team, we came back and what a game :D

didnt really see newman i saw a fair bit of him and he completly shut down that blonde little port player while also providing some drive out of defence

I really like Ebert and think he's very dangerous so was pleased that Newman did a good job on him and kept him goalless, especially after he was beaten by Milne last week.

He was a much better ruckman last year because we didnt have that starting centre circle, used to crash thru the opposition ruckmen with ease. However, even with the circle he's been more than servicable, really impressed with him, he can mark and keep the possession's going without turning it over. Worth the Number 1 PSD pick so far. Pettifer, really starting to come into his own, impressed me today especially when he nailed that set shot. He is proving to be quite a good crumber, something we've been lacking this year with Rodan out and Krak not that efficient.
I like the idea of Browny kick 6, going to have Carlton very worried, I dont know who they would have play on him. Richo and Browny should tear up Carlton.
This week, I will be bold enough to expect us to beat Carlton. If we don't, the signs are a bit worrying as I see Carlton as no more than a bunch of average players that play well as a team, I only expect to lose to the mid ladder teams and top 4's, not Carlton.
