Indeed.

If you have nominated a player and haven't written a review, you have until midnight Sunday to do so. Then it's open season.
Before I comment one way or the other... what does open season mean...

Anyone can write a review for a player. Previous nominations void.

Void mine then.. I'm no chance to sit down to get one done by Sunday.

i suspect many will be in the same boat if they haven't found the time in the foregoing 5 months.

Btw - still in America, just got bored and wanted something to do for 10/15 minutes. Hope that is sufficient, I can adjust or amend later if required.
Great summary.
"Billie" at the intro would top it off?

I have legitimately been a combo of slack and busy in real life..

But i am pretty busy the next few days

You did say by Sunday didn't you?

Where do these reviews go. I've never ever seen one

o_O They are all in this thread which apparently you have never ever read!

They are all linked in the OP.

Umm....no I haven't

Mackie's underrated by just about everyone I reckon - in some ways he's never been one of my favourites, either, but he has been highly effective.
Also, played really well in all 3 GF's that we won.
100% agree. Apart from a black period in 2010 he has been solid and dependable. I watched the 2013 Cats v Port semi on Fox Footy the other night and was reminded just how important Mackie was / is, running of the HB and setting up repeated attacks. Beautiful kick too.

not a popular opinion is it; but he must've been doing something right to have held his spot in probably the best Geelong era in the club's history.

I was actually just watching some Cats highlights on Youtube last night (among the highlights I viewed was a five minute package of the losing 1980 Prelim - Mick Turner was absolutely on fire, took 3 contested one v one marks in a a few minutes - damn the marking was generally just better in those days, too) - Mackie popped up to help save/win the game against Hawthorn, rd.2 2012 with a desperate play as Michael Osborne looked certain to kick the winning goal.

Not only underrated, but possibly one of the most maligned of decorated players.
I'm biased, always rated him, ask my Whippet, but overall, he's a winner.

You didn't think to read the other 8 pages of the thread :D

Without being negative Nelly, with the amout of time that has passed it would be hard to write a review now.

I'd help but I don't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning let alone what happened last year.

Your whippet is a winner or Mackie? :D

I'm glad I have company in my Mackie admiration Sttew, Vdubs, Cursed_Cat. I've never understood the general under appreciation from the Geelong fan group.

#28 Corey Gregson

After being taken at #47 by Geelong in the National Draft, Corey Gregson
made his debut for the Cats in round 1, as tipped by one particularly astute poster on this board ;)

Gregson would go on to play 20 games in his first season, averaging a tick over 12 disposals and adding 13 goals.

His form understandably petered out as the long season came to an end, but prior to this the little bloke with the gymnastics background gave outstanding service, providing plenty of encouragement with his pace and willingness to get amongst it despite his slight stature.

Gregson’s early-season form was a much-needed boost to a side which was on it’s way to missing the finals, and his 18-disposal 3-goal effort in round 6 against Collingwood (including one thumping kick from 55m for a sausage) helped the club square the ledger at 3-3 and earned him a Rising Star nomination in the process.

He was eventually ’managed’ (dropped/rested) for rounds 13 and 14, but was re-called for round 15 and played out the season in what would have been an invaluable season of learning the AFL ropes.
