Player Sponsorship

Are any of you BF Essendon memebrs interest in getting one together.

BF puts $200 towards sponsorship so im sure we could put one together.

Why? i have e-mailed the club asking how much it would cost to sponsor a rookie or a new draftee.

The lowest level is $600, so if you had $200 chipped in to start with, you'd only need (for example) 20 people each giving $20.

The only problem would be that you wouldn't have the entire list to choose from - some players would have a full complement by now. But there'd still be a few to choose from!

Koala, Is the lowest level Player Supporter. For example, if we were to sponsor hocking with the player support sponorship, would that cost $600?

Yeah it is.

Unlike the other levels, which include finals tickets, player appearances and the like, player support is basically just a donation. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but you probably should understand the money goes to the club and not the player so in the end it doesn't really matter who you sponsor if you are just going the player support option. Other than getting a signed photo of the player of course.

Yeh i know, How muh would the next level cost? the club seems to be slow in getting back to me with my questions.

the next level costs different amounts depending on what category the player falls into.

Say you wanted to go with Heath - he's a rookie, so it would cost $1450

Senior players would cost $1980, and captain/coach $2640

Thanks, i got a email from the club this morning giving me the cost.

So how many people are interested in doing this, the club has said to me heath hocking is availiable, if anyone wants a different player just ask.

The target is $1250 after BigFooty's help, i should be able to get around 50-100.

$1250 would be a huge effort, I think the $400 deal sounds more realistic.

The other option is to contribute to the Bomberblitz.com player sponsorship, they sponsored Rama, Ricky Dyson and Paddy Ryder (all as player sponsorships) last year and will probably sponsor at least two different guys plus Rama (most likely) in 07.

Yeh i know the blitzers do it every year, but i was thinking for the Bf Essendon board. The sponsor level would depend on the amout of interest, so far interest is low which would probably mean that $600 option if anyone is interested in doing it at all besides me.

If the reason people dont want to sign up is because they dont want hocking, i am open to any other player besides the unavailiable ones which are: hird, lloyd, jj, monfries, mcveigh and watson.

You know what, I like that idea. In a weird way he would be the pefect player to sponsor. It's the least we could do for all the cr@p he gets on here. If Bolt's does get choosen, I'll happily chuck in 30 bucks.
