Hey Ed, was wondering if at the trade period will we be able to make some player type changes. I'd like to pick posting players, so am keen to get them into roles I think are best value. makes more sense than picking non posters.

Well, as has been mentioned, I am looking for a change from the all rounder back to pure bat especially with the loss of players to the World Cup, hoping for a bit of perspective by Eddie

Sharks' fishing for bonus points should not get them even more advantages over the rest of us.

You guys do realize that if every allrounder ends up changing his/her player type, its going to be hard to enforce the 2a/r rule.

Maybe allrounders should be allowed to change their allrounder type as opposed to their overall player type?

Or just abolish the 2a/r rule?

COuld always sign a new player :)
Have looked into that, but at the moment, there are a lack of quality new players available so the best option would be for a temporary change to Arma as I have mentioned for the resason that we have no ther pure bats and this has and will cost us most of our games coming up. May as well reward decent posters when the only payers available will rarely post unless they can prove different.

TO make it a bit realistic - you shoudl only be able to change 1 step on the player type continuum.

So
a pure bat can only go to Batting AR
a Batting AR could go pure bat or pure AR
a pure AR to batting AR or bowling AR
Bowling AR to pure AR or Pure Bowler
Pure Bowler to a bowing AR
Keeper only to a pure bat or Batting AR

concievebaly players in RL could make such changes.

Richardson for NZ the opener who ended up averaging about 48 in Tests, he was part of the NZ u19 side as a left arm spinner batting at 11, he got the yips & turned himself into a succesful Test opener, albeit one with no shots.

If someone can do that in 'RL' then the sky is the limit in BFFC.

I mean BB Gun led a side to the flag.

Yes, but did he do that in one step.
If that was the case, his transition was a hell of a lot quicker than his batting
I agree with Funkyfreo to a certain extent, but if the captains wanted to change a batsman to a bowling a/r they could just change batsman > Batting a/r, Batting a/r > A/R, A/R to Bowling A/R to get the balance right anyway.
So you might as well be able to change to whatever you like, but just limit changes to 1 or 2 each side.
