Re: Player X vs Y thread

Out of Bower and Higgins, Bower simply because I can see him improving slightly, and all I see for Higgins is another injury... Plus there are much better options in the midfield than Higgins, whereas there aren't so many in defense compared to Bower.
That said, I wont be picking either...

Petterd vs. Knights?
Ive got Petrie, Petterd and Knights at the moment, but I think 2 cheapies is enough for the forwards line... Definitely keeping Petrie, dunno out of the others...

Re: Player X vs Y thread

Both have injury concerns, knights wil make you more money before he gets injured and if he stays fit he is a keeper.

Shuey vs Hartlett?

Shuey vs Hartlett?
No kidding, this was my next question!!!
ATM, I have Shuey in the team simply because he isnt so injury prone like Hartlett, but I did have Hartlett at first (then changed to Shuey, then back to Hartlett, then back to Shuey )

I think Hartlett will be a better scorer if he can stay fit, so its just whether you want to take a risk for what I think will be only a 5-10 average increase.
Shuey for me, just... I think...

Backline and Forwardline combo:

Duffield and Chappy ------- $1,048,000
vs.
Broughton and Buddy ------ $1,042,000

Re: Player X vs Y thread

Shuey.
If he gets on the park he has all to offer, depending on Nab cup form will could be a better pick than Gaff if he gets the 40% discount

Re: Player X vs Y thread

Barlow had a massive year- he'll be the 6th highest price player in the comp and carries far to much doubt to warrant being picked up.
Too true Walesy.
Shuey.

Shuey might even get a tag this year. We all rate the shoe highly, and like Rich, his kicking is great. I cannot see his scores getting too outrageous especially when I believe he may have the number 1 tag after the first couple of rounds, even if Kerr plays.

With Hartlett's injury, Shuey is the clear choice out of the two. Pretty unfortunate for the bloke, he looks a really good player.

What about Shuey vs Foley?

These two are now fighting for the spot that was between Shuey and Hartlett. Totally forgot about Foley, but am now leaning towards him...

1. Foley, barring injury, will most likely score more as he is a better player (from what we have seen) so far. Although he is more injury prone, I think it is worth the risk.

2. Shuey will probably pick up a tag every now and then, if not each round, and his scores may suffer.

3. Shuey may suffer from the dreaded 'second-year blues'.

Goodes v Brennan

Goodes averaged 94.3 last year and is 458,900. Comes to $4866 per point averaged.

Brennan averaged 78 last year and is 379,500. Comes to $4865 per point.

The way I see it though is Goodes will most likely wane (highly unlikey that he will increase his output) but I'm not sure about Brennan. He could go either way....

Which one should I go for (forward position)? Money isn't an issue, if I go for Brennan I'll have the differnece in my bank. If Goodes I'll just have less money, other positions/players aren't gonna be affected by this.

Sylvia probably has more upside, but Green and Brown are more likely to score bigger.

Ill say Sylvia just.

Higgins v Vince?

Just deciding who to pick out of these 4 players; M.Willams, Knights, Petrie or Vespremi.

Any thoughts???

Williams= never, If he proves me wrong i will punch myself in the face
Knights + Petrie= good buys
Vespremi= ehhhhhhh.... Not gunna put myself under the same fate as i have with Williams because a lot of the time young players can just go BOOM! But lets just say he wont be considered for my team. Whats his price like anyway??

My two are Foley vs Sherman.
And a trickier one of Seb Tape vs Josh Toy

Foley over Sherman and Toy over Tape but all are good options for your squad regardless.

Cross v Boyd +27k v Bartel + 50k
and
Higgins v L Jetta v M Morton v Dangerfield + 30k

Goodes played as a KPF for a large portion of last year. Once he moved back to the midfield, he averaged 100+. If he plays in the midfield, he will most likely do that across the year. So while he won't improve, his scoring will. Given that he was pretty shocking as a KPF, you would think he would be played primarily as a midfielder, meaning increased scores. If he stays a KPF, his scoring will be the same as before he moved to the midfield last year - appalling.

m. morton and c.knights $612,600 or
didak, harvey, brown, green, goodes and rookie round the 100-160k mark depending on which one of the tops guys u choose.

From a dogs pov I think boyd is in for a huge season, as for Higgins he is looking fit, having a good pre season

Swan vs pendlebury

Swan, but depends on what you can do to the rest of your team with the money you save on Pendlebury?

Chapman + Hurn or Pav + Enright?

Pav and enright

As for swan vs pEndles I have both but want to trade one out for say Judd or hodge

Hodge vs Judd?
Hmm tough call there. Not much splitting them, both are guns and u cant really go wrong with either. Id say Judd for consistancy with the occasional huge score, but hodge for the higher ceiling.

Ah stuff it just buy both, i cant decide

Mine is Knights and Foley v Varcoe and Dan Harris
