Le Cras vs. Varcoe (or anyone cheaper)

Also, slightly off topic:
1. Heppell in backline with Deledio and Gibbs and load up in midfield
2. Heppell in midfield (bench) to allow for flexibility with Gibbs, Deledio (Back/Mid)

Thanks

I would go Le Cras because he has the potential to post higher scores a lot more often than Varcoe. Le Cras stands out in west coast much more than varcoe in geelong.

Is it worth paying the 566k for Hodge? Or going Boyd or Bartel for around the 500k mark. Cant choose out of Boyd or Bartel with both expected to attract more attention this season.

Hodge is a lock for me and I would go Boyd over barrel.. Seems more consistent and I have a feelin hes in for a big year!

Which 2 of either pendles, montagna or j selwood??

Pendles vs Selwood

Pendles vs Montagna

Montagna vs Selwood

I think its hard to split and you may have to use gut feeling to decide.

Selwood has no Gazza beside him and will cop the first tag. Unknown quantity in 2011.

Montagna is not the star quality of the other two but can score monsters. Little question over the saints this year.

Pendles is at the peak of his career and his team is flying high. I'd go with him.

I'd go Pavlich, just a more consistent scorer. SJ can be mentally taken out of games quite easily and damage your team.

Dangerfield or Zaharakis?

Dangerfield has the potential to be one of the best in the comp, but his SC scores so far don't reflect that. Zaharakis looks to have a breakout year and is one of my favourite young players.

Dangerfield looks set to rise in price after three games, so could represent better value, and his good games score better than those of Zaharakis, although Zaharakis is more consistent. I'd go Zaharakis, simply so I could pick Chris Knights :p

Goddard from Round 1 at 633k or trade him in Round 5 (for Broughton etc), after his likely price drop? Already have Gilbee, Boyd and Gilbert missing for Round 4.

You have to have Goddard from the start. Last year I waited for his price drop and it never happened. He might even go to another level and increase his average by 10-15ppg.

Grimes vs Newman vs Johncock

Dangerfield or Zaharakis?
I have a similar conundrum - Scully vs Zaharakis.
Zaka is MPP listed as a forward too but Essendon have the round 24 bye.

I like the Zaharakis idea and would definitely prefer. I won a final last year when DF just dropped off the face of the earth after Q1.

Ryan Gamble + $30,000 vs Veszpremi

I reckon Gamble. Saints go OK doing the recycled thing, and at least give them opportunities.

Option one in my opinion, rather Swan than Ablett with the other 3 about on par with each other.

Prefer others to Mitchell also, had him last year and was a bit inconsistent.

Higgins + Cox + Selwood

or

Chapman + Luenberger + Bartel

I agree with you.

I would go option 1 personally. Luenberger can't be trusted.

I'd go 2. Two champions plus Leuenberger (a 22 game player last year) outweighs one plus an injury prone Higgins and a question mark with Cox (Is he too old? Are there better options?). I think Chapman and Bartel will outscore Higgins and Selwood by more than the difference between Cox and Leuenberger.

I'd go with Judd, more explosive and has greater potential to score big. Having said that, I have both in my team.

Didak vs. Enright/Broughton/Gilbee/Newman/Fisher :)
