I dont think Jolly is overated though, he proved in the second half of last year that he is more than capable of being one of the top ruckman and averaging well over 90. At 388K he is great value, and hard to pass up.

As far as your choices go, Option B with Selwood.

I agree with you on Mumford, there is no reason why he wont be able to match his scores from last year.

Cheers mate. Would have went A had i been able to afford Selwood, but fell 1k short. But yup, definitely think i'll go with B. Cheers.

Mumford + Bartel + Franklin + Pavlich was another option i looked at, but really want J.Selwood.

Swan, Rioli and Higgins. I cant see much difference this year with Rioli and Franklin, both will play and score very well this season.
Swan and Pendles are in the same boat, I think the interchange rule might bring Swans score down a little, but he should at a minimum match Pendles. The sealer for me with your choices is Higgins. He is fully fit and looks as though he can step up his game alot more than Waite, who will always worry you with injuries and suspension.

It depends on your team, and which player would suit you most during byes etc. Preferably I wouldn't go either. If i had to choose I would take Goodes, and then pray that he increases his time in the midfield.

I've had this dilemma for weeks, looking at my team and the only player im not happy with is Goodes. Can any one suggest another player i have 40k left?

If you haven't got Franklin yet, take Rioli.
You could take the risk and pick up Sylvia. I think Sylvia is set for a big year and at his price could be quite a bargain. It would laso free up some extra cash so you can upgrade a player elsewhere.

Dangerfield and Zaharakis, I reckon both will have big seasons this year. Especially Dangerfield.

I'm sure this is commonly asked, but would appreciate an answer:

Chris Knights v Andrew Krakouer for the F6 spot.

Krakouer has the DP and the cheaper price, but imo Knights, unless injured, is guaranteed a spot in his team. Krakouer isn't.

Krakouer could be helpful with the DP, but if I have Hibberd + premiums/Heppell in defence/mid, and I.Smith/Mzungu + premium DPs in mid/forward, do I really need an extra one?

Another factor is the amount of injuries that both players have got. Obviously Knights is fairly injury-prone, but was Krakouer injured at all last year or in the pre-season? Collingwood fans or WA people might know.

And even though I save $36k with Krakouer, I can't really use it unless I upgrade a premium to another, e.g. Grimes to Gilbee/Duffield or Murphy to Judd etc which isn't very helpful.

To the above, I would take Jetta and Yarran. I've been looking at Jetta all summer, his pre-season etc and he is the type of player to explode onto the scene. Especially with a new coach, may just love the new surroundings. I didn't get him because he doesn't fit into my structure, which is to only have 1 or 2 players in the 200-400 mark.
And Yarran could very well dominate in that new spot on the HBF, Carlton showed that they give it off to Russell and Gibbs enough. Yarran has pace and skill so could show it up.

On the other hand, Dangerfield is very much a crash and bash type player, which results in collision injuries, and isn't much of an accumulator. While he will be a very good AFL player, I don't think he will ever be a great supercoach player as his style is very contested (if that makes sense). Zaharakis is entering his 3rd year now I think, and I'm still not sure on Essendons ability to feed him the ball enough, and his ability to collect the ball. He isn't a poor pick, I just believe there is better options out there.

Or on the 3rd hand, you could get Chapman and a $110k forward. A definite keeper and a rookie, but I would imagine that not all of Jetta, Yarran, Dangerfield and Zaharakis would be keepers.

Or on another hand, Riewoldt/Franklin/Goodes/Green etc and Prestia or Gamble could also work.

I just think their up side has greater potential.

You just don't get it, mate.

If you have 3 premiums on the bench one week, you will have 1.5mil of 10mil on your bench.

You won't be able to cover 3 players with decent bench options especially as the year progresses.

Just work out who you want in your team at the end and work back from there. Pies last bye is round 13 so after that you can stack your team with pies etc....

Jetta - tough call that one

Richardson - better job security and mature body
