I had both now i have niether, Not 100% if prestia will play early and for the price i didnt want to risk it. and gambles in and out for me, went the cheaper options on both, i think the 100-110K players will do just as well.

mine
Goodes VS Harvey

both MPP's , i'm iffy on both and have buddy so Rioli's not an option

Goodes is generally a slow starter so I'd pick Boomer. Both are very durable for their age but scoring may be getting lower this year.

Just curious, which 100-110k players are you talking about? Other than Richardson, Matera and Darling i dont see many players who can score better than Gambke/Prestia if they get games.

I would be hesitant on either. (I will prob grab goodes later in the year)

Mine is puopolo vs Lower (just promoted to senior list)

Why not both?

Both mature aged players that should come in and score well (50 - 80) and go up in price.

Howver

Some talk going around that Puopolo may not even start round 1, take that as you wish as (I think he will start round 1) he has had a fantastic pre season and was drafted as the type of player to take over/upgrade Campbell Browns back pocket position.

Similar to what I was goin to say/have heard.

I've got a couple of conundrums, one similar to the above one

Lower vs Duigan
And
Delidio vs Enright vs Broughton vs anyone over 400 really:D

Obviously at this price I'm lookin for a keeper not the chance of an improve. Just heard lids has been struggling a bit and I don't know that much bout broughton and I know enrights a star, so I'm currently on Enright and duigan

Conumdrum 1) Lower V Duigan

Duigan will play round 1, and probably play a lot of games, whilst Lower should play round 1 after impressing in the pre season. Having played some AFL already, I think Lower will be the better scorer of the two, but definitely think you should not count out Duigan's ability to score.

Conumfrum 2) Anyone over $400,000

These are the $400,000 I would look at

Goddard - Lock
Gibbs - Lock
Deledio - At his price he should be a keeper, the ability to score well makes him impossible to ignore, the back lines version of Jimmy Bartell (underpriced GUN).
Broughton - The ability to score well (ave 90 + every year), durability the key, are you willing to take the risk for a player in a top 4 side?
Scotland - People count him for his age, but he is SC gold, could conside a unique?
Newman - Another SC gold and another 'unique' pick. Will average 90 + again.
Duffield - Inconsistant
H.Shaw - Can he break out again? who knows.
Not sure (apart from Grimes who you probably have already), perhaps a Daniel Connors as a real unique pick.

Thanks HFF,
If it Were you who would you pick out of Deledio, Broughton, Newman and Enright? (already got the 3 g's, goddard gibbs grimes)

Im a bit iffy on scotty, rekon hes a gun just rekon others at carlton will start goin past him and pinching points, the rest were just what i was thinking, and dan connors, other than the incident he was involved in, i dont really know that much about you rekon he can push up to the other 4’s level?

Option1:

Chapman + B.Smith

Option 2:

Didak + R. Tarrant/Otten

Option 3:

Knights + Broughton

Given my current line up which option would you take, and would you have any other suggestions for changes to my team? Cheers!!

I would rate Deledio ahead of the rapidly improving Broughton. Deledio is a proven quantity so he gets the nod, especially with the MPP availability. If Broughton can stay on the park for the whole year he could be anything (100 + ppg perhaps). Newman is good for a solid 90 + each week, can break the ton every now and again whilst Enright should surely start to drop off now he is in his 30's.

Chapman vs Franklin vs Riewoldt?

Have said this before but Franklin is a slow starter, could start like a house on fire.. Chapman is a different kettle of fish, no pre season, no warm up games, still, one of the best forwards in the supercoach line up whilst Riewoldt (of the Nick Variety) should surely go around and average 100 + again. I would go Riewoldt, a proven scorer who is in a top 4 team.

The other two will have to have stellar seasons on the back of two very different past seasons.

Would probably go option three.. One (or even both) could potentially be keepers if they have a season like never before. Both have proven records, so definitely ones to keep an eye out for.

Travis Boak vs Andrew Swallow

Boak, was only 21 last season and averaged a few points under 100, should only get better. Can score you some big 150s too which can be a game breakker in the league. No bye till round 12 or 13 too.
Travis Boak vs Andrew Swallow
Who to field at B6?
Gram
- 26, missed parts of last season with injury but played himself back into form averaging 93 in the last 5 games of the season. Has averaged 92 in the past and still young, should have some good footy ahead of him.
V
Harry O - 26, playing in the comps best side, was averaging very high 90s last year until he hit poor form in round 14 and never recovered.
V
Beau Waters - 25, one of my fave players in the league, consistantly in the top 3 players for the Eagles. After missing 18 months of football he had a slow start last season before his class finally shone through averaging 82. I think he definitely has the capacity to average low 90s.

Travis Boak vs Andrew Swallow

I'd take Swallow over Boak. Last two years he's averaged 99 and 106, as opposed to Boak who topped out last year at 95 with 80s for the two years prior. Sure, Boak may have a break out year but I'll take the guy with the track record every time. It means I miss out on the occasional break out, but it also means I avoid the other 75% of the time when they don't.

Out of those three I'd lean towards Gram. O'Brien's too flaky and Waters hasn't shown a good SC year yet. If you're able to scrape together a bit more cash I'd go Hurn over them all. Otherwise Gwilt might be worth a look after his preseason.

Any two out of R.Tarrant, Cheney, Lower and Puopolo?

Tarrant and Lower seem the most likely to get game time, but if Puopolo is picked in Round 1 I'd go Lower and Puopolo and pocket the change.

Need to free up some cash.

I feel I've got too many medium priced players need to downgrade one.

Knights (F5) vs Krakeour (F6) vs Gamble (F7) vs Otten (D6)

Thoughts and a possible replacement?

Knights and Gamble for 100k rookies

Cheers, I might hang onto Knights, kicked 3 on the weekend, Gamble free'd up the cash.

Otten looks fairly rusty apparently.

Otten vs R.Tarrant?

Tough one. Otten just as I think he has the potential to score more playing as a midfielder.

Boak v Burgoyne
